We experience an unforgettable morning atmosphere on the Jaufenpass and let ourselves be enchanted by the unique atmosphere. This is followed by a leisurely hike along the ridge to the Rinneralm. After a hearty alpine breakfast with regional products, we return to the starting point. The breakfast includes homemade bread, real alpine butter, various jams, cakes, alpine cheese, sausages, muesli, yoghurt, eggs, fried eggs with bacon, juices and warm drinks. Summer evenings in Schenna: music & shopping. Stroll through the centre of the village after your evening meal, listen to music, browse in the shops and boutiques and buy some souvenirs to take home with you. In summer, contemporary and folk music bands fill the evening air with music in Schenna. Societies in Schenna also organise various forms of entertainment. Shop opening hours in the evenings: 8pm to 9:30pm.

After the extremely successful author reading at the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran last year, the Hafling-Vöran-Meran 2000 Tourist Association is inviting you to a new edition of this event concept in summer 2024. Thriller fans can look forward to the successful author Simone Dark. The popular film adaptations of the Bolzano crime thrillers are the model for her books: the author Simone Dark, who now lives in South Tyrol, draws literary pictures of human abysses, packed into captivating stories. The wonderfully described picturesque settings in South Tyrol contrast with dark machinations and exciting plot lines. Together with Herbert, Simone Dark will read from her latest works "Familienehre" and "Schwöre, dass du schweigst" and enter into an informal dialogue with the audience. About the author The author Simone Dark was born in 1982 and grew up in Breisach am Rhein. After studying near Mainz, she moved to South Tyrol, where she still lives today. In 2022, she published "Die Taten der Opfer", the first crime novel featuring Magnabosco and Pasqualina, as well as the two Bolzano crime novels "Verspieltes Glück" and "Vergeltung" with Edition Raetia. The second Magnabosco crime thriller, "The King of Tiers", and the third Bolzano crime thriller, "Family Honour", followed in 2023, and "Swear Silence", the third case for the investigative duo Magnabosco and Pasqualina, was published in 2024. Programme: Meeting point is at 6.30 pm at the Knottnkino car park (above the Eggerhof farm) in Vöran, from where we walk together to the Knottnkino in 45 minutes. Once at the top, we experience the unique book presentation, after which we walk back to the car park by lantern light (lanterns are provided by the information office), returning at around 9.30 pm. CastelCello is one of the rare festivals worldwide dedicated exclusively to the cello and its music. Apple growing takes centre stage at the family-run Schrenteweinhof in Lana. Farmer Patrizia tells you exciting stories and many interesting details about her favourite fruit. She is one of the 63 farm women service providers under the brand "South Tyrolean farm women. From our hands". Patrizia will introduce you to the different apple varieties and you will learn a lot about apple growing. In between, you can also take a bite of a juicy fruit! On three Wednesday evenings the church square in Welschnofen is once again transformed into a meeting place to enjoy the balmy summer nights. Local bands with people from the Val d'Ega ensure a good mood and good cheer. Various stalls offer local specialities such as Schlutzer, Krapfen, Strauben, Welschnofner beer and much more, inviting you to get to know South Tyrol from its culinary side. A special highlight is always the Schuhplattler (traditional folk dancer), who delight young and old with their "Platteln". The little guests can let off steam to their heart's content at the children's program and do handicrafts with natural materials, sow flowers or transform themselves into lions and butterflies at the children's face painting. At the 'Bauer am Stein' farm in Foiana 70 goats white goats stretch out towards you, waiting to be stroked. Farmer Karin explains how these lively ruminants are fed, milked and cared for. As true gourmets they prefer to eat fresh grass and leaves, but they also get some tasty snacks made especially for them. After the birth of the first kid, the mother goat gives milk. She is milked twice a day and, unlike cows, has an cows, she has an udder with only two teats. If you want, you can taste the milk, also called 'white gold'. An exciting adventure awaits you during the guided tour of the church tower! From our expert guide Oswald Tröbinger you will not only learn why the church and the tower were built separately, but also have the opportunity to climb the observation tower: 82 meters high, with more than 300 steps - a real flight of fancy! The tour lasts one hour and is a must for every visitor. The tour is only in Italian. However, you can still take part to see the tower from inside.

"Craft market APPAT" Arts and crafts The traditional craft market in Kastelruth takes place in the summer months of July and August. It takes place every Wednesday in the village square and offers a variety of traditional handicrafts and, but also artisan products such as woodwork, glasswork, leather goods and much more. There are also a number of artisans offering handmade jewelry, ceramics and other handcrafted products.

Intensively you will discover the healing high-altitude air, which is clean and free of toxic elements. At the nature-bath we will try some Kneipp-exercises with cold water and walk on a barefoot-way and at the same time the immune-system will be strengthened.

Italian film classics under the starry sky Open-air cinema in the park of the Parkhotel Mondschein. Every Wednesday for 9 summer evenings from July to September with films by great Italian directors and a special atmosphere. Experience the Steinegg music brass band in their traditional costumes on warm summer evenings at the Steinegg festival site. The brass band plays marches, traditional melodies and contemporary compositions. So there is certainly something for everyone.

A gourmet menu with a panoramic view! The Berglertafel mountaineers’ dinner is a five-course menu of typical dishes from Tiers served in a stunning setting. The venue is Proa, a mountain pasture with a view of the Rosengarten. There is arguably no other vantage point in Tiers am Rosengarten from where you can see the famous alpenglow of King Laurin’s famous kingdom ... and all this while enjoying a fabulous gourmet menu. The table is more than a 100 metre long and can seat 170 gourmets who – in the form of a row – can enjoy a fabulous meal and, at the same time, this unique view of the Rosengarten.
