When Carla Nowak, the new maths and PE teacher at a German secondary school, decides to take the initiative to find out who is responsible for the thefts that have taken place at the school, she does so with the best of intentions. First and foremost, she wants to put an end to the practice of interrogating innocent students and free them from the shadow of prejudice that hangs over them. She knows very well, because she has seen it with her own eyes, that even among the teaching staff there are those who do not shine in terms of honesty.
Our Jam Keller Sessions are back – from now on every month at the Waaghaus!
The gathering, part of CHI C’È C’È!, is entirely dedicated to music and improvisation.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve been playing for years or are just getting started: bring your instrument and jump in! The space is open for free playing, and all the technical equipment is on site. In the Waaghaus cellar you’ll find drums, a pianola, and amplifiers waiting for you.
Of course, everyone who simply prefers to listen, have a drink, and enjoy the evening in good company is also very welcome.

In A Talk from Remote, the artist Marina Abramovic —joining from Manchester—speaks about her artistic practice and evolution.
"NOVA SELVA SONORA":
Nova Selva Sonora is a new project by the Azione_Improvvisa ensemble, aimed at exploring extremely rich and diverse sound worlds, in which the visual experience takes over to create a bridge with the sound dimension. At the heart of the project is a suggestion: that of a forest where time compresses and dilates, and where human presence becomes elusive or transposed, double or absent. The musical narration is entrusted to the four musiciansə of Azione_Improvvisa: Andrea Antonel on the theorbo, Margherita Berlanda on accordion, Pietro Paolo Dinapoli on electric guitar and Daniela Fantechi on electronics.

Kurtinig an der Weinstraße/Cortina sulla Strada del Vino, Alto Adige Wine Road
Two like Bonnie and Clyde ... a comedy by Tom Müller and Sabine Miriorny
Directed by Christian Mair – starring Magdalena Lun & Martin Nicolussi
Manni and Chantal, two young wannabe gangsters, dream of quick riches and follow in the footsteps of their great role models. But before they can rake in the big bucks, they have to pull off a bank robbery – supposedly a piece of cake! If only there weren't the small challenge that the passenger constantly confuses the road maps during the escape and can't tell right from left. Eventually, the two end up in a former shoe warehouse – a mishap that is only the least of their problems. Although everything goes wrong for the amateurish crook couple, they succeed in one thing very well: they make the audience laugh with their chaotic adventure.
‘Zwei wie Bonnie und Clyde’ masterfully combines slapstick, comedy and subtle humour.
After the event, wine from Kurtinig will be served.

Antoni Benaiges is a Catalan-born elementary school teacher assigned to a mixed-age class in Bañuelos de Bureba (Burgos). His innovative teaching methods and his openness about being an atheist alienate the local priest and mayor, but not his students, who feel he understands their hopes and dreams. One of those dreams is to see the sea. Antoni Benaiges truly existed, and he really did promise the sea to children who could only imagine it. That promise was perfectly aligned with his educational and pedagogical vision.
Free entry.

Harp sounds and aerial acrobatics turn the forest into a stage. After a shared walk, a scene unfolds in which music and movement blend with nature. The delicate tones of the harp and the graceful shapes of the acrobatics transform the forest clearing into a poetic performance.
The artists:
Isabel Goller is a harpist from Brixen, trained at the Mozarteum in Salzburg as well as in Zurich and Maastricht. She has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera and is co-founder of the Südtirol Filarmonica. With “Forest Art” she brings her music back into nature.
Veronika Smolková is a contemporary circus artist, actress, and dancer from Prague. She earned a master’s degree in Nonverbal Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and furthered her training at a circus school in Finland. Her projects combine circus, dance, and theatre, bringing art into dialogue with nature. Alongside her artistic work, she teaches aerial and partner acrobatics at Cirqueon and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
Meeting point at 8:00 pm in front of Hotel Royal | short walk together to the performance site in the forest | free participation
The Merano Magic Festival will once again be enchanting the town. A gala of magic at the Kursaal will show off the various facets of the illusionist’s art, amusing and mysterious in turns.
At the heart of Marius von Mayenburg's play is a mysterious painting: after their father's death, brothers Nicola and Philipp find a seemingly insignificant painting in the attic, signed “A. Hiller”. Or perhaps it says “A. Hitler”? That would almost be better, because its value would suddenly increase. Unfortunately, its provenance is unknown – and only with a verifiable provenance can a painting by Adolf Hitler be sold at a profit. While their Jewish sister-in-law fights hard to destroy it, Nicola and Philipp feverishly investigate their family history. Or perhaps... they invent a new one?
With sharp, biting jokes verging on cynicism, Marius von Mayenburg tackles thorny questions: is it really possible to separate the work from the artist? And to what extent do moral principles hold up when financial gain comes into play?
A theater-play in German language
A musical and theatrical work that combines live music, voices, movement, images and touch, offering young children an exciting first encounter with the language of performing arts. The show is the result of specific artistic and pedagogical research on early childhood, curated by the Petra Theatre Company, in collaboration with L'Albero and the Senzaspine Orchestra, as part of the European project Grow Inclusive Opera, supported by the Boarding Pass Plus programme of the Ministry of Culture.

‘I'm not afraid of bankruptcy,’ René Benko boasted in a 2011 interview with Krone. Things turned out differently. The insolvency of his Signa Group is the biggest bankruptcy in the Second Republic of Austria. German and Italian cities are also facing years of construction craters. Millions in state investments have vanished into thin air. The self-made billionaire leaves behind a shambles. Following plays such as ‘Die Redaktion’ (The Editorial Office) and ‘Heldenplätze’ (Heroes' Squares), author and director Calle Fuhr, together with the investigative editorial team DOSSIER, once again looks behind the headlines to tell the story of the rise and fall of the miracle man Benko. Calle Fuhr himself takes to the stage in this solo performance, taking the audience on a journey into the amazing Signa wonderland and revealing the system that made René Benko possible in the first place. "It remains exciting throughout the entire performance. One eye-opening moment follows another.‘ (ORF, ZIB 13) The acclaimed premiere at the Vienna Volkstheater, which was also invited to the ’Radikal jung" festival, will be continued in an updated version at the Schauspiel Köln, where Kai Voges will be artistic director and Calle Fuhr will be resident writer and director from the 2025/26 season onwards.
