A humorous, socially critical uprising against greed, injustice, and the power of authority. Ritten Summer Stage is an annual open-air theater event held in the Commandery Lengmoos. It originated in the summer retreat era of the 17th century. Back then the nobility of Bolzano already found all sorts of diverting entertainment to pass their summer months on the mountain. And, theater could not be done without in order to guarantee for an estimable amusement experience. In 1973, this tradition was brought back to life when the Ritten Summer Stage (“Rittner Sommerspiele”) was born. However, it was no longer meant to be exclusive high-society entertainment but was made accessible to everyone.

Annual summer event of the Giuseppe Verdi Opera Choir with the people of Bolzano – open-air opera in the Semirurali Park. On Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at 9:00 PM, colorful lights will illuminate the stage, catwalks, and lawn in front of the ancient ruins of the Augia Abbey. The audience, seated on the tiered benches of the arena, will enjoy a performance of “Betly, or The Swiss Cottage,” a comic opera in one act (63 minutes) by Gaetano Donizetti. It tells the story of the simple life of mountain folk, who lighten their hard days of work with jokes and pranks. In this case, the goal is to bring together two young people: the lovestruck Daniele and the stubborn Betly, proud of her independence and dismissive of the tradition of "marriage," which she sees as limiting women's freedom. Her brother puts her in a difficult situation, forcing her to realize that she cannot make it on her own without Daniele's help. Cheerful songs, patriotic hymns, and festive toasts run throughout the opera, making it joyful and enjoyable to listen to. On stage, together with the G. Verdi Choir of Bolzano and the EstroLirica Choir of Trento, the soloists Victoria Burneo Sanchez, Federico Lepre, and Walter Franceschini will perform. The heart of the event is Maestro Claudio Vadagnini, conducting the artists, choir, and the 27 musicians of the Aurona Orchestra from Moena. Directed by Mirko Corradini.

For more than 20 years, the Kaltern Lake Concerts have been counted among the big highlight events and are now famed far beyond the provincial borders. The concerts continue to feature national and international stars promising an unforgettable experience: NENA, Umberto Tozzi, Status Quo, but also James Blunt, Ronan Keating, Alvarò Soler, as well the Haydn Orchestra of Bozen and Trento, the Herbert Pixner Project, and many more. For three weeks in July and August, the northern shore of Lake Kaltern will be transformed into a magnificent concert venue this year, too. August 19, 2025 - Flouraschworz The quartet "FLOURASCHWORZ", named after a black-haired beauty from the texts of Luis Stefan Stecher, consists of Hannes Ortler (born 1974), who plays harmonium, accordion, melodica, and clarinets, and Michl Reissner (born 1980), responsible for drums and percussion. Both work as music teachers and are graduates of the C. Monteverdi Conservatory in Bolzano. The third member is bassist Franco Micheli (born 1969), who developed his skills in various fusion and jazz ensembles. The fourth, Heiner Stecher (born 1962), is the singer and guitarist of Flouraschworz — a passionate bard, bandleader during his school and university years, and later guitarist in a jazz band. In 2014, he joined forces with the trio to create original music free from strict stylistic boundaries, nurturing his singer-songwriter ambitions. The name FLOURASCHWORZ unmistakably represents the Vinschgau Valley, the home region of the four musicians. It stands for poetry and a deep connection to this high Alpine valley, for catchy melodies and singable songs in the Vinschger dialect. Through their newly interpreted “Korrnrliadrn” (grain songs), they express a renewed cultural self-awareness.

In 2006, the popular ‘Kinderlachen’ programme was brought to life. The first three Wednesdays in August are always reserved for our little ones. Clowns, musicians, actors and puppeteers bring their plays to the stage at 5.30 pm each week. Children are usually allowed to actively participate. Our little spectators can also quench their thirst, because we also open our bar for our little ones.

Seydou Tall, born in France to a Senegalese family, is a film star. Separated from a hostile wife and father of a young boy, he decides to go to Senegal on the back of a successful autobiography.

On almost every Wednesday evening in July and August, Andrian becomes an even more special meeting place - a place to enjoy the warm summer nights. Wine evenings alternate with aperitif evenings, and one Wednesday evening is dedicated to the kids. Local music groups guarantee you a pleasant atmosphere and a good mood. On August 7, 2025, be enchanted by the fourth edition of the Movimënt Sunrise Concert – an unforgettable event that combines music, nature, and the captivating light of dawn. As the sky begins to glow blue with the first light of day, the Piz La Ila cable car starts its silent ascent to 2,100 meters, taking you to the summit just as the sun peeks through the Dolomite peaks. Waiting for you at the top are the enchanting sounds of renowned violinist Andrea Casta, a friend of Alta Badia, famous for his luminous bow and moving performances that blend classical and contemporary music. On this special occasion, he will be joined by the local group Aurela Cörta who will make the sunrise even more magical. The concert takes place in the silence of dawn, among golden skies and the unmistakable outline of the mountains. And after the show? A breakfast at the Moritzino hut awaits you – with authentic flavors and a breathtaking view that will start your day in the most special way. As always, Gianluca Iocolano will be the author, presenter, and host of the evening. With the support of Patrizia Solaro, he will not only entertain the audience with his sharp monologues, but also interview two outstanding personalities from the South Tyrolean world. The music will be curated and composed by Maestro Roberto Tubaro, who will push the small orchestra beyond the limits of comic music.
