Four films. Four intense journeys. And one setting they all share: South Tyrol. In Everest, we follow the story of Rob Hall, who leads a team up Everest, leaving behind his pregnant wife Jan. And in The Ice Tower, the landscapes of a South Tyrolean mountain village in the 1970s frame Jeanne’s escape from an orphanage into the surreal world of a Snow Queen.
