    Ritten/Renon, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
Guided afternoon hike with Klaus Demar. Meeting point: Train stop Lichtenstern. Duration: 3-4 hours, pure walking time: 2 hours. Difficulty: middle. Price: € 15, free with RittenCard. Language: German & Italian. We meet us at 2.20 p.m. at the Lichtenstern/Station (2.06 p.m. train from Oberbozen/ Klobenstein). In Lichtenstern we learn about the 117-year-old Ritten Railway. From here we climb to the Waldneregg prehistoric cult site. We follow the path near the mythical "Menhir" to Lake Wolfsgruben. Along the Eschenbach stream, which drained the lake, the "Seemüller" had rights to use the irrigation water and the water power for their mills, sawmills and a forge. We look at the old buildings (from the outside) and descend to the beautifully situated Unterinn. On a tour of the village, we visit the parish church - the original parish of Ritten - which is well worth seeing, before taking the bus to Klobenstein, where our hike ends. Registration required!

    Fabian Feichter – Everything Loose
    Brixen/Bressanone, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
In the breakfast area of the Arthotel Lasserhaus, a kind of chandelier floats in a shaft of light and transports those standing or sitting below it to another world of water and light. The central meeting point in the building is thus emphasised. Whereas in classic chandeliers the candles are directed upwards, in Feichter's design the LED tubes shine or hang downwards and spread their cool light throughout the room. The plastic elements do not refract the light like prisms made of cut glass or, in the past, rock crystal from northern Italy, and yet the pendants are filled with a lively play of light, just like their historical counterparts. Depending on the thickness, they allow more or less light to pass through, colouring it in delicate pastel shades. Feichter's colour scheme uses similar tones to those in the StadtGalerie, which change around his own skin tones. The hangings themselves are reminiscent of fossils. More or less complete remains of fantasy fish, snails and other inexplicable sea creatures allow the viewer to immerse themselves in unknown spheres. The sculptural object Everything Loose zooms directly into the centre of a habitable place and the creatures it houses, which are somewhere between animals and humans.

    WATER LIGHT FESTIVAL NEUSTIFT
    Brixen/Bressanone, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
Local and international artists transform fountains and cultural-historical treasures into an open-air gallery with their creative ideas. Reflections on ecological, economic and social aspects related to water and light are the basis of the artistic works. Under the motto "Water is life - light is art", an art trail is being created in Brixen's old town. The Brixen Water Light Festival takes place annually in May. The idea for the festival was born in 2015 after the premiere of the light and music show at the Hofburg in Brixen. The first edition of the festival was held in May 2017. Art, light and water and a head full of dreams and thoughts. Being free and letting oneself fall, floating on the surface of the water, submerging, and carrying the light within. Being critical and playful, a rollercoaster of emotions. Screaming, standing still, having fun, seeing the world. And figure it out? The Water Light Festival in Neustift takes place until 29 June 2024 on the premises of Neustift Monastery. Artists Laurence Bonvin, Martina Dal Brollo, Sara Förster, Dorra Hichri, Annika Hippler, Julian Hölscher, Anish Kapoor, Brigitte Kowanz, Heinz Mack, Atelier Mejia Wälz, François Morellet, Jakub Nepraš, Charly Nijensohn, Corrie Francis Parks - Daniel Nuderscher, Juan Francisco Rodriguez, Jazmin Rojas Forero, Nicolás Rupcich, Keith Sonnier, Rosmarie Weinlich The exhibition can be visited during the museum's opening hours (Mon - Sat 10am - 5pm).

TEMPORARY EXHIBITION / GLACIER‘S END – A COLOURFUL STUDY OF OUR CHANGING EXISTEN
Bruneck/Brunico, Dolomites Region Kronplatz/Plan de Corones
The exhibition showcases a targeted series of artworks from the past three years. These exclusive works are fragments of spatial and temporal dimensions that anachronistically defy thematic order. The brothers succeed in unleashing physical places into a rational realm of thought and transforming them into aesthetic settings through stylistic and colorful contrasts. What remains are surfaces, structures, and stylistic textures that take shape in the minds of viewers and ultimately transcend pure perception as a rational mechanism. No limits are imposed on their compositions. Observation transforms into a solitary experience, becoming a privilege of seclusion, comparable to an exclusive dialogue between observers and the artwork itself. Aesthetic forms and patterns of an entirely new and unknown world flow toward the critical awareness of climate change facing our planet. The fusion of abstract and colorful aesthetics as conflicting poles in this series alludes to the consequences of change in the mountain and glacier world. Simultaneously, space is created for personal expression and subjective opinion formation. Monochromatic backgrounds act as placeholders, enhancing the consciousness aspects of the works and the thematic coherence in the minds of the viewers. The artists‘ body of work focuses on capturing real glimpses of reality refined by a subjective artistic touch of color finesse as an individual trademark. Years of experience allow them to push the boundaries of technical possibilities and give a artistic nuance of self-awareness to the natural. The exhibited artworks are free from digital alienations on the PC. Each work lacks associative or documentary characteristics. Sophie Olivotto (Art Historian)
