Events in summer

We South Tyroleans admit it: in summer, we are rarely at home in the evenings! In summer, you can find things to do wherever you go: at the town and village festivals, at small or large concerts and at colourful farmers’ markets.

Seven nature parks, one national park

South Tyrol’s greatest treasure is its nature. In order to protect nature and make it more accessible to those who want to experience it and walk through it, there are seven protected and designated zones and a national park. Here you can experience, fathom and understand nature.

A summer packed with experiences

Is a holiday all about exercise for you? Then put on your hiking boots, hop on your bike and head off into the mountains! It doesn’t have to be a challenging climbing tour - you can also take it easy with a long walk or biking.

Out of the concert hall, straight into nature

The Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige transforms the mountains into an international music stage from end of June to the beginning July.

For a few days over summer, jazz sets the tone in South Tyrol. During the Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige, the whole province is transformed into an open-air stage. With its exceptional venues, international jazz stars and magnificent landscape, the Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige has been offering a unique listening experience for over 30 years. The music festival follows a branch of the intercultural transit space and explores a music scene which does not just simply get carried downstream but rather swims against the current beyond the mainstream.

Experience all the seasons

Summer and autumn, spring and winter: all of the seasons have their own charm in South Tyrol. Stroll through nature and admire its colours - or observe the work of the farmers and sample their products.
