Smart planning, stress-free arrival

Find out how to get here by car without long waiting times.

If you are travelling from the north via the Brennerautobahn motorway to South Tyrol, you will need a Vignette toll sticker for the Austrian section of the route. You can conveniently purchase the Digital Vignette toll sticker online in advance.

To save time when crossing through the Brenner Pass, we recommend that you pay the toll online well before your trip: this gives drivers preferential passage through the toll station using specially marked lanes.

There is a toll on the Italian motorways. You can purchase a telepass device from Tolltickets  (private company) and thus avoid waiting times at the toll stations. You can have your telepass by post or pick it up at a pick-up station.

Plan your journey in advance and get informed about the current traffic condition in South Tyrol as well as the available parking spaces.

Arriving via hydrogen-powered or e-car

South Tyrol has an excellent network of charging stations : if you arrive in an electric car, you can easily recharge your car at one of the charging stations.

For those guests arriving with a hydrogen car,  it is possible to refuel at the hydrogen filling station in Bolzano/Bozen after making an appointment by phone.

Fill it up, please!

In South Tyrol, electric cars are both welcomed and encouraged. An increasing number of publicly accessible charging stations supply these cars with green energy.
