Apple blossom in South Tyrol

The apple trees are in bloom and there is a pleasant scent in the air: this awakens the soul after winter. Take a walk past the apple meadows in Meran/Merano and environs, in the Vinschgau valley or along the South Tyrolean Wine Road and keep your eyes peeled because the many farmers offer regional produce at their farms. A few kilometres further on, Lana celebrates the blossom festival days and at the blossom days in Eppan/Appiano, you can get in the mood for the warm season with a flower walk or wine tasting. Asparagus time in South Tyrol

White asparagus is harvested in April and May in South Tyrol. These refined vegetables with a delicate flavour are farmed with great care. The cultivation area is very limited: sandy soil and a mild climate are required.
