Our protected natural and cultural landscapes are unique. In our National Park and the seven Nature Parks, you will get closer to our flora and fauna. western green lizard Curious marmots peek out from amongst rocks, a dragonfly floats in the clean mountain air, colorful butterflies and green lizards accompany you on your journey. On protected hiking trails you will discover our flora and fauna in the Stilfserjoch National Park and in our seven Nature Parks. In our info points and Nature Park visitor centres you can deepen your knowledge of nature.

Alpine mindfulness

Get to your destination and travel back and forth: as a guest in one of South Tyrol’s 31 Vitalpina Hotels, you develop a deep knowledge of the landscape. Whether on a mindful guided hike in the forest or on a mountaintop, you'll experience deep relaxation.

Nature holidays

Exciting knowledge about nature, imparted in a playful way: In the guided program "Dolomiti Ranger”, young adventurists and their parents go on an expedition in our World Heritage nature reserves. 

Carnivorous plants growing in our mountains? Giants, dwarves and fairies living in our forests? And do animals actually sleep at night? Expert answers to any question are given to young adventurists aged between 7-12 from July to August at the Dolomiti Ranger nature program.

In the Nature Parks of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites Region you will go on an exciting discovery journey with your children, nature experts and Nature Park visitor center’s assistants. Using all their senses playfully, little participants explore nature's secrets and gain valuable knowledge. For instance, in our Nature Park visitor centres during experiments.

The most eager adventurists will receive the "Dolomiti Ranger Medal" at the end of the program. Depending on the Nature Park, there is a different thematic focus about local flora and fauna. Whatever the place, in the "Dolomiti Ranger" program you’ll feel closer to nature and have a fascinating experience. You will bear it in mind for a long time.
