It's hard to say which is more impressive: the Ortler mountain, which at 3,905 metres is South Tyrol’s highest peak, or is it perhaps the Königsspitze mountain? With over 250 km of well-signposted routes, this versatile national park offers trails at every degree of difficulty. Around the Ortler-Cevedale group and in the Martelltal and the Ultental valleys, discover hiking and themed trails in addition to high mountain trails and via ferratas.
Meanwhile, at the five national park visitor centres, learn more about the history, geology and flora & fauna of the national park. After all, the park is home to some of the rarest wildlife in the Alps. The road over the Stilfserjoch Pass 2,757 metres above sea level connects Prad/Prato with Bormio. This spectacular panoramic route, nicknamed the "Queen of the Alps," winds its way upwards via 48 turns. Year after year, this scenic and sporty tour attracts road cyclists from all over the world.
