Accompanied by an experienced guide, the Nature Park visitor centre will reveal all its mysteries. South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its majestic mountains, clear Alpine lakes and idyllic walking trails. From the meeting point, we will drive together to the starting point of our excursion, located by the car park in Dun (1,480 metres). The first stretch of the route will take us along a forest path in the direction of Bodenalm, then we climb a little up to Eisbrugg, where the snow never completely melts. The large, initially flat Eisbruggtal valley will afford us a breather until we climb up to the Kröllhütte hut (2,150 metres). There we’ll begin the final ascent to the Eisbruggsee lake (2,351 metres), which is also the highest point of this excursion. The 3,000-metre peaks of the Pfunders mountains mirrored in the crystal-clear waters of the Eisbruggsee make quite a sight. The way back is along the same route. Forty years have passed since the first edition of the Bolzano Dance Festival. Four decades of uninterrupted programming for an investigation of today's dance in the round, in step with the times, styles, contaminations and technological evolutions. A birthday-achievement celebrated with an edition simply called "40", to be held in Bolzano and its surroundings from 12 to 27 July, which gathers together artists "friends" of the Festival for an exploration of the latest trends on the Italian and European scene, enclosed in a programme full of absolute debuts, national premieres and co-productions. The film that artist and filmmaker Eva Giolo presents at Ar/Ge Kunst is the upshot of a year and a half of research in the Ladin valleys. Filmed in 16mm, Memory Is an Animal, It Barks with Many Mouths is a project that was commissioned and produced by Ar/Ge Kunst with Biennale Gherdëina 9 and the support of the Flanders Audiovisual Fund. Surrounding the Dolomite Mountains, children reimagine ancient Ladin legends while they examine holes, caves and bodies of water looking for something lost or forgotten. Through a poetic choreography the film becomes a fictional journey connecting past and present. Creating resonances between the landscape, myths, legends and Ladin - the protected old Rhaeto-Romanic language of the valleys - a puzzle unfolds as a timeless fable. Eva Giolo (1991, Belgium) is an artist working on analogue film. Her work places particular focus on the female experience, employing experimental and documentary strategies to explore themes of intimacy, permanence and memory, along with the analysis of language and semiotics. Her work has been widely exhibited at festivals, museums and galleries internationally, including Sadie Coles HQ, Harlan Levey Projects, WIELS, MAXXI–National Museum of 21st Century Art, Kunsthalle Wien, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Kunstmuseum Den Haag, Viennale, FIDMarseille, Vision du Réel and New York Film Festival, among others. She is co-founder of the production and distribution platform elephy.

The sound and silence of the Dolomites The Dolomites at sunset, when the sunlight paints the mountains in vibrant colours. We call it enrosadira, which means that the mountain peaks turn shades of pink, orange, cobalt, violet, and indigo. We are located above the Boè mountain station, exceptionally open for the occasion. Here, for the first time, the Enrosadira Silent Concert is celebrated, a musical experience that is an extraordinary opportunity to celebrate Ladin culture and the beauty of the Dolomites. The South Tyrolean Highland Games are an event where teams of four (clans) compete against each other in nine Scottish disciplines, framed by a festival with a Scottish-Irish-Celtic flair. It is a homage to the original Scottish Highland Games, which have existed since the 11th century. The goal of these games was to find the strongest and fastest men in Scotland. During the alpine summer on the Brugger Alm, the alpine fest with cheese cutting is of course a must! Once again this year, a great festival atmosphere awaits you on the alpine pasture from 10.00 am! From 10.00 a.m. it starts with a morning pint and Weißwurst. The music will be provided by the duo Norbert & Walter from the Schnalstal Valley. The Brugger Alm team is looking forward to seeing you!

Every year at midsummer the witches dance at the Passo delle Erbe and spread a feeling of magic. The so called wizards accompany all the spectators up to the foot of the Sas de Pütia, where the wiches dance and are up to mischief. There are also old farmers’ traditions, stories, songs, fun and action for kids and gastronomical delicacies

On 27th of July 2024, the church feast of Ceves will take place again. It starts at 9:30 am with a festive mass, followed by a performance by the group "A3". Food and drinks will be provided. The village committee cordially invites everyone!
