Meeting point: at the church in Mittelberg.
Duration: 20 minutes,
Cost: € 2.
The St. Nikolaus church in Mittelberg is first mentioned in 1289. This church was enlarged in the gothic style in 1400 and has kept its appearance from that time. The tower is somewhat later than the church and was probably built in the 14th Century. It is made of natural stones laid in regular patterns. Possibly in 1400 the upper levels were altered to the gothic style and the existing windows date from that period. In 1744 a rather large onion dome was added. It does not fit the building but is still quite pleasing. In 1976, during the restoration of the church and the tower, the Romanesque masonry was discovered.
In this phase of restoration also came to light a large cycle of medieval frescoes that reproduce scenes of the passion of the Lord, the twelve apostles and prophets

On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the camps. After the devastation of the Shoah, women found within themselves the ability to be reborn. A journey into female resilience and fortitude.
As the world watched the horror of the Shoah, women rose from the ashes, bringing with them a fortitude and determination that inspired generations. Their stories, often forgotten, are a testament to the human capacity to overcome, with difficulty, the unspeakable and rebuild one's life. The stories of some of these women who came to Merano will be told.
They found the strength to start again, to rebuild their communities and to pass on a message of hope to future generations. They tell us that even after terrible times, humanity can shine through.
Leaving, moving and arriving are among the elemental experiences that we contemporaries share in many ways with humans of the pre-modern era, although the dynamics of earlier processes can hardly be equated with those of today. The world is in the midst of profound
processes of transformation, the effects and consequences of which are still difficult to assess and which we will only be able to judge and classify at some distance in time. In this regard, a look at the period before 1800 may be useful. This volume documents the conference held in Brixen in September 2023 and collects the proceedings of all thirteen related contributions. In addition, four more essays have been included that enrich the theme “traffic and circulation” with additional facets. Essays with a strong focus on the Tyrolean or South Tyrolean region are contrasted with those on other territories and those with a broader thematic approach, which help to examine the general validity of the results obtained in the regional insights.
This workshop enables you to re-establish and maintain a good connection to all your inner sensations and needs and thus create a healthy and holistic sense of well-being within you.

‘Heinz Fuchs is a special person. He walks through the world with his eyes, ears and senses wide open. What he receives with his delicate mental antennae is stored in his internal memory, evaluated, sorted and compiled into a very special conglomeration. His ability to present the seemingly obvious from a completely different perspective, but always humorously and emphatically, with newly illuminated facets, never ceases to amaze.
It is a pleasure to savour his profound thoughts, carefully matured and polished, cast in letters, morsel by morsel.’ - Ernst Müller
