The newly created 360° Upper Vinschgau Valley is an adventure-packed circular hiking trail through the villages of the Upper Vinschgau Valley. For families and pleasure hikers the nine stages can be seen as individual hiking tips for day tours. Experienced hikers looking for a challenge can plan a hiking tour consisting of several stages.
At each stage interactive nature installations from local larch await young and grown-up hikers.

The adventure trail takes you past the farmed Moarhofalm until shortly before the upper Grünbachalm uphill on the forest road and the last section on the well-marked hiking trail to Grünbachsee.

A fun hike for the whole family

The Gitschberg Alpine Hut Circuit takes you to the most charming alpine huts in the region, from rustic cabins to cozy refreshment stops. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views over the Puster Valley and the Pfunderer mountains. The panoramic points at the Moser Hut and the Gampen rest area, with its unique wooden sculptures, are especially worth visiting.

Hike on the Isarco Valley hills starting from Albions up to Gudon

Children need constant change and are always looking for adventure. The Ahrntaler Sonnenwege (sunny trails) and especially its Ahrntaler Hexensteig (Witch’s trail) is the ideal spot to give families such exciting adventures. It starts at Mühlegg/Costa Molini from where you walk to the rushing Frankbachwasserfall (waterfalls). Continue on and pass an old millstone which tells us a little about the farm life of long ago. You then get to some rocks which are ideal for children looking for adventure and who want to test their climbing skills. The very brave children may even dare to enter into the bear cave and walk through the 20 m long underground tunnel where they will have to pass the witch’s big chair and a wooden carved family of bears before reaching the end of their hiking destination – the family friendly Bizathütte (lodge) which welcomes you with its mountain restaurant.

Agumser Bergwaal is a trail for sun lovers taking you through forests, meadows, 
hamlets, and past a barbecue site with a panoramic swing set before reaching the 
hamlet of Stilfserbrücke.

The Adolf Munkel Trail beneath the majestic Geisler mountain group is one of the most spectacular trails in the Dolomites.

Hiking tour through Rastenbach gorge with some stairs and bridges. Not difficult hiking tour, but with some upgrades.

This scenically enchanting hike over the broad alpine pastures of the Hirzer region is especially recommended during the alpine rose flowering season from late June to early July when the pastures are resplendent in shimmering red. 

The heart of the Texelgruppe Nature Park is the largest side valley of the Schnalstal Valley and can only be reached by a single, partly steep road, passing ancient farms. From the paid parking lot at the Vorderkaserhof Inn you continue on foot.

Idyllic mountain villages with a unique charm is what the second stage of the circular hiking trail 360° Upper Vinschgau Valley has to offer.

Lake Antholz (1,650 m) > Almensteig (cabin trail) > Steinzger cabin (1,894 m) > trail no. 7 B > Obere Steinzger Alm (2,076 m; not managed) > trail no. 7a > at the highest point (2,260 m) amazing view of both lakes and the surrounding mountain scenery > Staller Saddle / Obersee (2,050 m) > trail no. 11 back to Lake Antholz.

They accompany us throughout the day, the year, our lives. They are there at the start, at the zenith and in the end. They are the source of the farming calendar. Ancient knowledge preserved over millennia.

Circular hike from the village centre of Aldein to the Eggerhof with views over South Tyrol's south and the Fiemme Valley to the Burgstallegg to the Rotwand and the idyllic Göllersee.

A beautiful one and a half hour hiking trip near Luttach/Lutago and around the mysterious Schwarzbachklamm is the round trip to the waterfalls. You start at the Sportbar in Luttach/Lutago and go into the woods along water channel heading towards Brunnberg. After crossing the stream and another branch-off, the trail takes you close to the Schwarzbach waterfalls. You then descend gently at first but steeper later on. Near to the Weißenbach/Rio Bianco road you will see and hear the thunderous waterfalls. Further down you will see the Schwarzbach gorge and the lower part of the waterfalls. The steep rock walls around take away a lot of the day light. You cross over the scary gorge and once close to Luttach/Lutago you will be in the sparse woods again.

This easy and tranquil hiking tour leads us to the so called "Rosssprung/ Salto del Cavallo" (Horse jump), passing by farms and an old church, built in 1600.

PIZ DE PLAIES ADVENTURE TRAIL (H 45 min.)
The Piz-de-Plaies adventure trail is very easy and adorned with various play areas. The route is especially suitable for families with small children, even with prams.
The trail starts at the mountain station of the Piz de Plaies lift on the Col dl'Ancona and passes by Alpinus Agriturism and ends at the summit of Piz de Plaies. Along the trail you will find various stations with games and seating as well as pic nic spots. On Piz de Plaies you will find the Labyrinth as well as the Panoramic Point by Swarovski Optik. You can return along the same path or via the Piz de Plaies circular route.

From the car park of the game animal enclosure above Stelvio/Stilfs, via an easy hiking trail to the Prader Alm Alpine pasture and to the Furkelhütte hut. 

The Aldein village tour will take you first to the valley and the Mill Museum and to the Maria Schnee Chapel. You can then stroll through a well-groomed cultural landscape over the porphyry plateau to Lake Göller. This is a great opportunity to stop for a pause before continuing the roundtrip tour via the Burgstallegg and then back to the village square. This charming landscape presents an inviting opportunity to relax and linger.

From Aldein to Petersberg and from here to the most important pilgrimage site “MariaWeißenstein”

The vineyards along the Algunder Waal and the Schlundensteinweg are a special example of a cultural landscape shaped by the diligence of farmers. On the Algund Wine Trail, the history of the cultural vineyard landscape comes to life and is tangible for hikers. The simple panels describe the Algunder Waal, the old grape varieties and the work of the vineyard watchman known as the Saltner. His job was to watch over the ripe harvest.

Discover the tranquility of nature with a walk along the edge of the forest in Ortisei. This route offers a pleasant experience immersed in natural beauty and is ideal for a relaxing stroll. The path is also suitable for strollers, allowing everyone to enjoy the serenity and freshness of the surrounding environment.

Easy, family-friendly hike with many opportunities to rest. The hike begins with a gondola ride from the village of St. Valentin to the Haideralm. From the station at the top of the Haideralm/Malga S. Valentino, the path signposted no. 16A passes the lake Plandelinaira. Follow the path, at first relatively flat, then increasingly curvy and steep to the Brugger Alm alpine pasture. Take a short break to taste the delicious homemade cheese and butter. Follow the path signposted no. 8 along the Zerzerbach stream and after a short time stop to admire the Chapel Saint Martin, which can also be seen from the village. The trail continues to Fauler See Lake, ideal for barbecues in the summer. The path signposted no. 5A leads to the edge of the Haidersee lake. Follow this path until the ski-lift station of the Haideralm.
Alternative: Cross the floating bridge to the eastern side of the lake near the Fischerhäuser and return to the village.

Waalwege are paths along the ancient irrigation channels. The Algunder Waalweg Trail is split into two parts with a lenght of 5 to 6 km. The hike leads along an historical irrigation canal. The canal trail is almost flat. It is therefore ideal for older people or families with children. Hikers, young and old, will be rewarded with fantastic views of Lagundo/Algund as well as the entirety of Merano/Meran and the surrounding area.

Easy hike from the Stiergarten summit station (2092 m). On the new wide hiking trail via the
Klammbachalm and Nemesalm and back to the starting point. Ideal for families and pushchair-friendly.

The Alpine Pasture Hike starts at the club house (Vereinshaus) in Obertelfes/Telves di Sopra. On easy trails (marked no. 5) you climb gently for about an hour up to the first Alpine pasture, the Freundalm (refreshments available). The hike continues up on trail no. 5, and then no. 6, to the Ochsenalm (no refreshments available). From there, quite a flat trail leads eastwards and in a few minutes you reach the Kuhalm (refreshments available). Descend on trail no. 5B as far as just below the Freundalm where it meets the trail you climbed upon, which you now follow back to Obertelfes.

The 3D trail Entiklar - Margreid -Kurtinig is an easy walk which can also be done with a baby carriage. The trail goes from Margreid to Kurtinig through fruit orchards and vineyards and past biotopes where you can observe various animals. Near the soccer fields you can also take a break with the kids at the playground.
