In the 40 years of its existence, the Naturno St. Nicholas Festival has developed into an event that is unique throughout South Tyrol and enjoys great popularity every year. On Thursday, December 5th, from 05:00 pm., everyone is invited to gather for a cheerful get-together at the mulled wine stand on the main square – the perfect way to prepare for the upcoming Krampus day in the village. The terrifying Krampuses will march through the village with their booming bells, sending chills down your spine! On Friday, December 6th, around 05:30 pm., St. Nicholas will greet the children with a small surprise on the main square. Until 06:00 pm., the area will remain Krampus-free, but after that, the village will once again become a dark stage. At 07:00 pm., the spectacular Krampus show begins, with various Krampus groups showcasing their eerie skills – an unforgettable experience!

The basic role of Krampus is similar to that of Knecht Ruprecht, who accompanies St. Nicolas on 6 December when he visits families and, waving his Birch rod, threatens to punish naughty children while he is there. However, while Knecht Ruprecht never became culturally significant in his own right, Krampus can look back over a long tradition, which is now being revived thanks to the commitment of an increasing number of local heritage groups. It will be interesting to see! -------------------------------- Rixa Rottonara - Limitations (CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS) Content: Rapid technological progress, advancing climate change and the omnipresent influence of social media characterise our thoughts and actions. In the midst of an avalanche-like flood of information, we are in danger of losing our connection to ourselves and to others, trapped in a state of emotional vacuum. In ‘Limitations’, we take a look at the burning issues of our time. In an interdisciplinary performance with aerial acrobatics, language and dance, we shed light on the tension between social responsibility and the challenges and changes that characterise our time in the most sustainable way, pushing ourselves to our limits - Limitations. As part of the Astra Zero initiative, Rixa Rottonara developed the concept of an interdisciplinary performance in a residency lasting several weeks. In her work, in addition to the thematic topic of limits, she also explored the spatial architecture of Astra Brixen, breaking the limits of gravity with a combination of aerial acrobatics and dance, and explored various surfaces in a material research for video mapping. Together with artists from the Berlin underground (Louis E.M. Schulze, Anna Disse, Dariuz Voltra), she completes the picture of an interdisciplinary performance that has set itself the goal of breaking all boundaries in order to convey a spark of our sense of time. Tanja Regele, who has already successfully staged the class play “Titus” at the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen/Teatro Stabile di Bolzano, brings the fairy tale journey for young and old to the theater. In Schlummerland lives Princess Schlafittchen, who never wants to go to bed at night and is always inventing new excuses. Sleep is the most important thing in Schlummerland. But Princess Schlafittchen has bad dreams, and no one, not even the smartest doctors and teachers, can help her. One day, the queen packs her backpack and starts to travel around the world. She asks many people in many countries if they know a cure for bad dreams, but unfortunately without success. Then she meets a strange creature, the Dream Eater, who loves nothing more than bad dreams. Can he help Schlafittchen as well? In any case, they want to try... In German language.

A Family Fairy Tale, performed by Volksbühne Lana at Raiffeisenhaus Lana, 5:00 PM "Little Sister and Little Brother," a beloved tale by the Brothers Grimm, tells the heartwarming story of a brother and sister who flee from their cruel stepmother. The stepmother, however, has bewitched all the springs in the forest, causing the brother to be transformed into a deer. During a royal hunt, the king encounters the sister and invites both siblings to live at his castle. Yet the stepmother's wickedness follows them, as she transforms the sister into a ghost and crowns her own daughter as queen. But the king, through the strength of his love, uncovers the deceit and rescues the siblings from the evil spell. This enchanting story is brought to the stage by nearly 50 performers, with music composed by Daniel Pupp and choreography by Maria Tullia Pedrotti.
