The Stabat Mater by G.B. Pergolesi (1710–1736) is a sacred music work that can be counted among the absolute masterpieces of the Baroque period. The text, written in medieval Latin, describes the sorrow of the Mother of Jesus at the foot of the cross, as well as the emotions of Christians faced with the sacrifice of the Redeemer and the suffering of the Virgin Mary. The music, of the highest inspiration, was considered profoundly innovative at the time, to the extent that J.S. Bach himself created a German adaptation of it. Even today, it remains one of the most beloved pieces among audiences and musicians, as it is profoundly moving for the uninitiated and rich in vibrant spirituality for believers. The instrumentation includes two singers (soprano and alto), strings, and organ.

Held annually in Nals/Nalles at the start of the cycling season, the C1 category Marlene Südtirol Sunshine Race draws competitors from 20 different countries to a technically demanding track. Affiliated to the Italian International Series (Int. d’Italia Series) and the Austrian MLA race series, the Marlene Südtirol Sunshine Race is a demanding ride that often serves as a final practice run before the World Championships.

After 1945, many bunkers remained operational during the "Cold War" until they were decommissioned in the 1990s and transferred to the Province of South Tyrol. Some of these defensive structures hold historical significance, offering unique architectural insights today. The bunker at Töll was acquired by the municipalities of Algund and Marling and has been made accessible for guided visits. An insider tip of the first order is the Blütenhöfefest on Sunday, 13 April 2025, in which 15 traditional farms in Lana, Völlan, St. Pankraz and Tscherms take part. Visitors will get to know historic farms and artistic residences in an enjoyable way and savour typical farm products on site. Visitors who are fit enough to walk follow well-signposted hiking trails and hike from farm to farm, while those who are more leisurely can take the free shuttle buses to the farms from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. An overview map with a detailed programme is available from the tourist office or online at lanaregion.it The event will take place in all weathers. Please note: Not all courtyards are suitable for coaches (50-seater). Due to limited parking facilities, certain farms can only be reached by a small shuttle or on foot. Larger groups are requested to register with the farms. There are limited parking spaces for coaches in Lana, two bus parking spaces are located in Lorenzer Straße and three in Zollstraße in front of the ex-Pomus. In the event that the indicated parking spaces are already sold out, it is advisable to drop off passengers at the bus station and continue to the car park of the Exclusive discotheque in Meranerstraße Lana or to the Lana industrial area where there are additional parking spaces.

On this special hike you will learn historical, current and legendary facts about Marling. The route takes you on a relaxed stroll through the village and along the historic Waalweg Trail. After the evening round, you’ll be welcomed at the Marling church square with sweet pastries, a glass of Marling wine, or a refreshing South Tyrolean apple juice, the perfect way to conclude a unforgettable evening. Have you ever wondered where meat comes from, how it is processed and how the various meat and sausage specialities are made? Learn more about it at Martin's farm and butcher shop! After a short walk, you will reach the farm that he runs with passion and where he has realised his dream: a farm shop and his own butcher's shop. Here, he only sells meat from his own animals and from farmers in the Passeiertal Valley - regional, fresh and handcrafted. During the tour, you will discover the stories behind the butcher's shop, the farm and the people behind it. You will experience first-hand how much work and passion goes into Martin's products. Afterwards, you are able to taste the homemade meats and sausages as well as other regional delicacies in the farm shop. ONLY GERMAN AND ITALIAN SPEAKING GUIDES Museum visit: An introductory film provides a comprehensive overview of the origin and nature of the minerals displayed in the museum. After a 2-minute ride by private car and a subsequent hike (approx. 20 minutes) you reach the excavation site, where you will search for Geodes of Teis under the expert supervision of a gatherer. Note: Due to Paul Fischnaller's advanced age, the excursion will be led by another experienced collector if required. Tools, helmet and a pair of safety goggles will be provided by the museum. Local history tells that one of the oldest Baptist churches of the surroundings was rising on this beautiful square. Today, the Parish Church stands on an even older site dating back to the preromanesque period (lombard-carolingian architecture) and is one of the rare examples of a cross-domed church with central nave and side naves.

Discover with our expert Sepp the daily life on a mountain farm during this picturesque excursion on Marling Mountain: First stop at the "Tschigg-Hof" farm: Let your host Karl give you exciting insights into tradition and rural life - past and present - and enjoy home-made delicacies with the farm's own products. Next, we continue to "Kurzhof": Discover, together with farmer Oswald, how a traditional grain mill works. Final stop at “Hoferhof”: Let host Stefan introduce you to the art of bread baking and enjoy a delicious, traditional lunch with a hearty “Marendbrettl” with freshly baked farmhouse bread and homemade specialties. That's why we set out to explore the blossoming high plateau of Naz-Sciaves. Very close to nature, on foot and with one of our experienced guides, we not only absorb the landscape with all our senses on such a beautiful spring excursion, but also to get to know it better. We take the Brenner motorway to Rovereto. Through the Loppio Valley and the Passo San Givanni we already reach the north-eastern shore of Lake Garda at Torbole. We drive along the eastern shore to Malcesine. There we enjoy a longer stay to get to know the famous town on the eastern shore. In the early afternoon we take a private boat to Limone. There you have enough time to visit this small picturesque town. visit this small picturesque town. By bus you will then travel along the tunnel-rich Westgardesana towards Riva, the northernmost town on Lake Garda. Via Arco and the Sarca Valley past the beautifully situated Lake Toblino and through the narrow Vela Gorge we reach the Adige Valley again and the Brenner motorway back to Schenna.

The small but fine School Museum at Tagusens shows visitors and interested people the life of the pupils between the years 1933 and 1993 and is a unique collection of furnishings and teaching documents that have been preserved on site. The school life in Tagusens did not mean an encounter with the "foreign" world for the "ABC-Shooters". The children in the lonely place knew each other, only the teacher changed year after year. Furnishings and teaching objects were less worn than elsewhere and thus remained intact. Nostalgic feelings and memories are certainly not absent here and seduce to a bygone era. The school museum is open every Wednesday and Friday from 14:00-18:00 and every Sunday from 10:00-18:00. You do not need to register for a visit.

We start with an interesting theoretical introduction, that teaches you the most important basics of avalanche awareness. Then it's off into the terrain: together with a snow professional, you will interpret danger signs and enjoy the descent in the wintry terrain. ONLY IN GERMAN AND ITALIAN! Guided hikes along the irrigation canals, through farmsteads and high Alpine routes; breath-taking views! This Thursday: The bus takes us to Oberbozen. From here we start the hike, which takes us via Kematen to the Tann and to the old farmer's bath "Bad Süß". We then continue to the earth pyramids and to Klobenstein, where the bus picks us up again in the afternoon.

Via Bozen-Trient–Verona (short stay at a motorway station), we drive along the motorway to Padua and Venice. Arrival at around 10 a.m. By boat, we make our way to Saint Mark’s square in the centre of Venice. The city is built on 118 islands and offers many palaces and churches, romantic water ways and bridges, which bear witness to the former glory of the town. We stay in Venice for approx. 5 hours and return back via the Val Sugana to Trient and from there to Bozen and Schenna.

This hike promises not only breathtaking landscapes, but also insights into the history of the channels, the steppe vegetation on the Monte Sole and the thermal water of Bad Kochenmoos.
