    Wine Lane Termeno/Tramin in the historic centre. Enjoy a glass of wine, a few typical dishes, music and folklore. From early afternoon till late at night the famous "Traminer Weingassl" or Wine Alleyway will be scene of exciting adventures which, for a few hours at least, will take you far from your daily routine and offer you a special evening in the magnificent autumn detting, along the Wine Road.     in the Lengmoos Commandery at 8 p.m. Entrance € 15, RittenCard € 12, student € 5. Flouraschworz with their new "Korrnrliadr" have stood for the newly awakened cultural self-confidence of the Vinschgau region for several years now. The band is considered an insider tip with their songs, which are stylistically colourful and cosmopolitan, combine catchy melodies with dialect poetry by Luis Stefan Stecher and inspire listeners. The debut album "Kurz unt guat" was released in December 2019. At Kommende Lengmoos, Flouraschworz will also continue to present songs from their just newly issued CD "Fuirroat".     Keschtnriggl - Chestnut days. The Chestnut Weeks and the Törggelen in Merano and Environs have been a South Tyrolean Tradition for years. Chestnut days in Tesimo/Tisens - Prissiano/Prissian, Foiana/Völlan and Lana gets ist Name from the "Keschtnriggl" - a hand-braided basket for Peeling roast chestnuts. For three weeks, a colourful Event Programme is put on for visitors: Chestnut walks, torchlight processions from castle to castle and the "Keschtnfestl" feast in Foiana, with Music, farmers market, chestnut delicates and traditional crafts. The aromatic fruit with ist spiky Shell, grows particularly well in Merano and Environs, and during this green Event has pride of place in the specialities of traditional inns and prestigious Restaurants, as well as in exquisite chestnut products such as sweet chestnut hearts, aromatic chestnut beer, hearty chestnut stollen, tasty chestnut spraed, luxuriant chestnut cake, fluffy chestnut bread, the excellent chestnut panettone as well as the noble chestnut praline.

    Guided "Törggele"-hike: discovering an ancient South Tyrolean tradition

    ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Zmailerhof. With the bus we go from the center in Schenna up to the restaurant Pichler and then hike along the Ratscheidweg to the Zmailerhof and after the cozy stop further to St. Georgen. From the starting point you can freely decide whether to return by foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music may not be missing of course! Difference in altitude: approx. 300m Walking time: approx. 2,5 hours Level of difficulty: easy/medium Important: ankle-high hiking boots, weather protection, something to drink.

    Autumn is the time for Törggelen! “Törggelen” comes from the Latin word “torculum”, which means “winepress”. The fragrant smell of roasted chestnuts is truly special, and something which characterises autumn time. People meet together to enjoy Tyrolean specialities, the new wine (known here as “Susser”, from the German word for “sweet”) – and the delicious chestnuts, of course. Innkeepers, farmers, artisans and artists all proffer their wares on Raiffeisenplatz market square, so there’s plenty to see.
