The Staben volunteer fire department invites you to a festival on the village square in Staben. Music, food and drink are provided. The festival site is located directly on the cycle path and close to Staben railroad station. Start of the festival: 10:00 am The members of the Staben fire department look forward to seeing you there.

At the harvest from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on the church field in the centre of the village, the crops are cut with a scythe, bundled into sheaves and the Kornmandlan, or “grain people”, are stood up to dry. The arable crops are harvested. Visitors are invited to take part. The traditional Marende snack, called “Neinern“, is just as important as traditional equipment.

At 8.30 p.m. parade through the village with lanterns, followed by a confetti fight and concert by the Niederdorf music band at the music pavilion in Niederdorf. In case of rain, the event will be held on 17 August. Exactly year in, year out, on 15 August, 'Ferragosto Day', there is a huge fun day in Niederdorf. Fun for young and old in the middle of summer is the confetti battle at the music pavilion. This event was first mentioned in the chapel's chronicle in 1924. A lantern procession for children, accompanied by the Niederdorf music band, opens the event at 8.30 pm. Of course, there will be a concert by the band at the pavilion afterwards. You simply have to be there - otherwise you've really missed out on something great.

Lantern festival at the entrance to the Val Gardena railway tunnel with the clown duo Herbert and Mimi. The clowns are two lovingly developed characters who tell their stories in a lively and cheeky way and make you laugh. Herbert and Mimi are home alone. They should actually be asleep. But the sandman has left again, and to get tired, the two of them play a game. And then another game. And discover the joy of winning and the sorrow of losing. And suddenly nothing is as it should be. Total chaos. But with the help of the audience, Herbert and Mimi make their way through the chaos so that the world is back in order. Afterwards, the children receive a lantern for the lantern parade.

They dash into battle on their elegant horses, lances burst, armour clatters, the noble lords crown their victor. The crowd cheers and marvels at all kinds of exotic and curious things. 2,000 performers from 11 countries offer the most extensive programme in the Alpine region! All attractions on the grounds are free of charge: Shows, camel and donkey rides, archery, children's tournaments, petting zoo, carousels, children's entertainment.

On Saturday, 23rd and Sunday, 24th August, the "Alpiniverein Marling" is holding its annual Alpini meadow festivall on the Marling fairground. Start: Saturday at 11am. The new edition of the Women's run Brixen relies on the tried and tested, up to a thousand women will run 4.2195 km through the old town of Brixen - without time calculation and without a start number. The event will start at 6.30 pm with the usual warm-up for all participants, the starting signal will be given at 7 pm. The Women's run adheres to its message "Women run for women" and this year again donates one third of the registrations to women in need.

1,869 metres in altitude, 48 hairpin bends and an incredible all-round panorama await cyclists who get into the saddle at the Stilfserjoch Bike Day. Every year, the legendary pass road on the Stilfserjoch - one of the highest passable Alpine crossings - is closed to traffic for one day and only opened to "two-wheelers" and pedestrians. A starting point for the Stilfserjoch cycling day is in Prad am Stilfserjoch or also in Spondinig. On this popular cycling day, the aim is to conquer one of the highest Alpine crossings, the 2,760-metre-high Stifserjoch. Not a bike race, but: Being there is everything! Lowest point (START): Prad am Stilfserjoch (910 metres) Highest point (FINISH): Stilfser Joch Pass (2,758 metres) Distance Prad – Stilfser Joch: 24.96 km Difference in altitude Prad – Stilfser Joch: 1,848 metres Maximum ascent: 15% Average ascent: 9–11% Safety and road closures: The road closure for motorised vehicles (except e-bikes) applies from TRAFOI to the top of the Stelvio Pass (BZ) from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. The same closure applies from Bormio to the top of the pass (LO) and on the Siusi side, the Umbrail Pass! Helmets are compulsory for your own safety. Being there is everything! You do not need to register for the start in Prad to take part in the Stelvio Cycling Day. There is no mass start! Everyone starts for themselves. If you hadn’t realised it before, when the first rays of sun timidly appear on the surrounding peaks you will see just how much it was worth getting up so early. A sunrise mountain tour on the Schlern mountain is a very special experience. A shuttle bus will take you to the Saltner Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you will arrive at Monte Petz (2,564 m) at around 6:50, in perfect time for the sunrise. After this natural spectacle, a well-earned breakfast awaits you at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge, also known as the “castle in the mountains”. For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 4th and Friday 5th 2025, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.
