South Tyrol’s Swimming Pools

The inviting indoor pool at the Sportwell sports and leisure center in Mals has an amenable ambience and provides sanctuary, even during the cold months. Guests can relax, train and enjoy the indoor swimming pool which offers a great view of the surrounding mountains, and the sauna helps to regenerate tired bodies after a long day on the ski slopes.

During the summer, adults and children can cool down in the outdoor swimming area, which includes a 50 m long water slide, a whirlpool, waterfall and a children's pool.

The Lido of Nalles/Nals is situated in a green parkway and owns two heated outdoor pools, a bar, a restaurant, changing cubicles, showers and toiletts. Both pools are made of steel and suitable for everybody: the children's pool is 40 cm deep, the big pool has a lenght of 25 meters.

The outdoor swimming pool of Laives/Leifers is the ideal meeting point for children, teenagers and adults and offers the possibility to spend a pleasant afternoon in company during hot summer days.

The 25m long swimming pool and the smaller pool are both heated. Surrounded of the 4,000 sq m park with comfortable meadows for sunbathing this place represent a true oasis among the splendid Italian Alps.
The little guests will amuse themselves wallowing in the children pool.

The Open Air swimming Pool in Egna/Neumarkt has everything a waterfun-lover needs. We offer you a big variety on different activies: beach volleyball, beach soccer, water zumba or swimming by night. In case you need Internet, we've got a free wifi area.

 

The Open Air swimming pool in Auer/Ora offers you the possibility to relax or have fun with your whole family. Wheter you choose the pool for the children or the water slide - it's all up to you.

During your family holiday in Gossensass/Colle Isarco, a small but fine outdoor swimming pool is available in the summer months. Here you will find two heated outdoor pools, an inviting lawn for sunbathing, a volleyball court and a children's play area. From May to September, during the hot summer months, you can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool in the garden village of Algund. Expect lots of fun, as well as relaxation: there is a baby pool, a water mushroom, a whirlpool, a children’s slide, table football, a comfortable bar with refreshments and snacks, as well as a large lawn area with great views of Castle Forst and the Texel Group Nature Park. In July and August, the outdoor swimming pool is open until dusk. The ideal meeting point for the whole family!!

A jump into cool water, boundless entertainment, many attractions, and all sorts of events: that’s summer at Chiusa.

The public swimming pool LIDO has been opened in 2006 and has been source of refreshment for the local residents and visitors. Here guests will find sun and shade, action and rest, sunbathing lawns and wooden decks. There’s also a lap pool, a fun pool, a whirlpool and also a pool for children. There’s even a mysterious underground grotto. The Lido also features a kiosk, a restaurant and a paddle boat rental.

Beside the public open air swimming pool, Gretl am See offers its guests also a large lawn as well as a direct access to the Lake Kaltern. At the pier, visitors have the chance to rent sail boats, paddle boats (limited number) and surfboards. Gretl am See also features a surf-school, a surf shop, a kiosk and a grocery store.

Enjoy the wet with your children or simply read a book in the relaxing natural setting with a unique view of the mountain world, or regain strength after a demanding hiking tour in the Dolomites-"UNESCO World Heritage".

Always being in touch with the latest trends, Gargazon inaugurated its new Natural Swimming Pool of Gargazon comprising 12,000 m² on May 29th, 2010. It is the first public bath in the Western part of the country that does without any chemical water treatment. Instead the natural water landscape is divided into a natural bathing area and an ecologically untouched regeneration zone that purifies the waters with the help of a number of beautiful plants.

The shower water is exclusively heated by solar collectors, yet another advantage of this ecological concept. The fact that the natural swimming pool is easily reachable on foot and by bike accords with the concept's principle of sustainability.

Children can splash in the naturally established brook, complete with wading pool, and there is an area for non-swimmers (max. depth: 1.20 m) which is accessible through a fine pebble beach. Not to mention, there is a grass play area with beach volleyball courts, table tennis, table soccer, loungers, umbrellas, picnic tables and wooden platforms that are ideal for playing, relaxing and having fun with the whole family.

By mid-June, the Prato swimming pool is set to re-open for the season. Situated in the sporting area in Prato allo Stelvio, young and old gather to swim, play in the water and just relax in the sun. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, it is guaranteed enjoyment for all. In summer there are also several evenings with live music programmes.

The greatest attraction of the small beach is the 42-meter-long slide, accompanied by a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The ample lawn provides enough space to accommodate those wishing to relax and play, while smaller revellers have another pool all to themselves.

The biotope relaxing zone is frequently visited by young and adult guests that appreciate the three ponds, a lawn with showers, a bar with restaurant and a children's playground.

The small lakes are divided into pond, children's pool and regeneration pond which was built separately, to ensure the protection of the regeneration zone during bathing season. The pond is purified mechanically, but most of all biologically.

The public bathing beach Seegarten at Lake Kaltern offers large sunbathing lawns and a direct access to Lake Kaltern. This bathing establishment also disposes of a playground for children as well as a paddleboat rental. It also features a restaurant with sunny terrace.

This public bathing establishment, located in the district Klughammer/Campi al Lago, offers a relaxed atmosphere and a direct access to Lake Kaltern. Moreover, differently from other establishments, the sun shines longer here. And right next to the swimming pool there is also a kiosk and a restaurant. Parking available.

In Andrianos swimming pool you can have fun and relaxe. There is a pool for children, a water slide, shaded places and a bar where you can eat well - There is something for every taste!

In Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures swimming becomes an exciting experience. Since September 2011 the aquatic center Cascade in South Tyrol‘s northernmost valley

The 18.5 meter high, completely renovated climbing hall is visible from afar - a real eye-catcher. 33 lines divided between the upper floor (12 meters high) and the first floor (up to 22 climbing meters) allow an average of 85 routes to be offered. The new structure includes a beginner's area with toprope ropes and is therefore perfectly suited for courses. Two "Perfekt Descent" self-belay devices complete the modern concept of the climbing hall. There are also relax zones and a café-bristro where you can recover from any climbing exertion. The Dolomite Arena is part of the Sport Sesto sports complex, which also includes two indoor and two outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, a volleyball court and an 18-hole minigolf course, open from June to October. In winter the offer is completed by ice skating.
