Our apple farmer accompanies you through the apple meadows and tells you interesting facts about the diverse fruit. Afterwards, farmers Gitti and Sepp will make, bake and, of course, taste Apfelkiachl (apple fritters). Easter market in J.-Kravogl and F.-Höfler-Straße in Lana, 7.30-13.00. The following roads will be closed during the market: Lorenzerweg, Franz-Höfler-Strasse, Johann-Kravogl-Strasse. Parking is prohibited on all streets and squares from 06:00 to 16:00.

The Tour of the Alps 2025 once again promises thrilling cycling action amid the breathtaking Alpine landscapes. This prestigious stage race brings the world’s best cyclists to the region, combining outstanding athletic performance with stunning scenery. With demanding stages and challenging climbs, this year’s race is set to be a highlight of the international cycling calendar. The second stage, Mezzolombardo – Sterzing-Ratschings-Gossensass, is the centerpiece of the race and will take place on April 22, 2025. With 178 kilometers and an impressive elevation gain of 3,750 meters, it is the longest and most demanding stage of the Tour. Following a flat start in Trentino, the route takes on a challenging climb at Monte San Pietro, followed by a mix of further climbs and descents that demand utmost focus and stamina. The decisive section awaits the riders in the second half of the stage as they reach the South Tyrolean town of Sterzing. Here, a 16-kilometer circuit, which must be completed twice, takes them through the region. The course begins with a four-kilometer climb to Obertelfes (average gradient: 7%, with sections exceeding double digits), followed by a technically demanding descent. The final kilometers will be extremely fast-paced: after several large roundabouts, the last 500 meters lead to a slightly uphill, cobbled straightaway that finishes in the heart of Sterzing – a perfect stage for a dramatic finale! The next day, the peloton will continue to Innichen, where the third stage of the Tour begins.

Guided tour of the Niederlana parish church with the Schnatterpeck altar. A first church was built on this site in the early Middle Ages on Roman foundations. In 1492, the present late Gothic wall pillar church was consecrated. Josef Weingartner counts it among the "most beautiful Gothic churches in the country" in his "Art Monuments of South Tyrol". The Gothic winged altar from the workshop of Hans Schnattpereck is a work of art that is known far beyond the borders of the province.

A very special pleasure hike for you! From the Schafflerhof farm above Saltaus/Saltusio, you'll take the scenic Merano High Mountain Trail to the Schupferhof farm cheese dairy. During a guided tour, you will learn everything about the production and origin of the farm's own cheeses. After the tour, you can put your senses to the test and taste the different types of cheese. After the tasting, you will walk back to St. Martin/S. Martino. The Kurpromenade, with the Kurhaus as a backdrop and elegant architectural setting, creates the perfect ambience for this exclusive flower and ornamental plant exhibition.
