Short guided tour in German/Italian with Eveline Bellutti. Meeting point: at the church in Mittelberg. Duration: 20 minutes, Cost: € 2. The St. Nikolaus church in Mittelberg is first mentioned in 1289. This church was enlarged in the gothic style in 1400 and has kept its appearance from that time. The tower is somewhat later than the church and was probably built in the 14th Century. It is made of natural stones laid in regular patterns. Possibly in 1400 the upper levels were altered to the gothic style and the existing windows date from that period. In 1744 a rather large onion dome was added. It does not fit the building but is still quite pleasing. In 1976, during the restoration of the church and the tower, the Romanesque masonry was discovered. In this phase of restoration also came to light a large cycle of medieval frescoes that reproduce scenes of the passion of the Lord, the twelve apostles and prophets

At the prehistoric power place St. Hippolyt in Naraun, customs of the "Witches' Night" are celebrated to celebrate the returning forces of nature. After a short walk together, meeting at 8 pm at the St. Hippolyt car park up to the hilltop, a witch's fire, incense and atmospheric melodies will transport you into the magic of the mystical Walpurgis Night. For families with children, an adventure hike to the hill of St. Hippolytus is already offered with a start at 6.00 pm. Once at the top, they will be playfully introduced to ancient customs.

The Ötzi Glacier Tour is an extremely varied one day round tour, which crosses the main chain oft the Alps. It takes place every Tuesday and upon request. The undisputed highlight of this accompanied glacier skitour is the discovery site of Ötzi the Iceman (3,210 m). Starting from Kurzras. From there we will travel by cable car to the Grawand mountain terminal (3,100 m./10,170 ft.), the actual starting point of our tour. From there, we will travel over the Hochjochferner (2,800 m / 9,186 ft.) to the Schwarze Wand and on to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m./ 10,761 ft.) We will then descend to the Tisenjoch (3,210 m. /10,532 ft.), the site where Ötzi was discovered. After a brief stop, we will ascend to the Hauslabjoch and descend into the Hochjoch Valley and continue down the valley to Kurzras. With suitable snow conditions, the course of the tour may change after the site where Ötzi was discovered: descent past the Similaun Refuge (3,019 m / 9,905 ft.) and through the Tisen Valley to Vernagt am See. Return to Kurzras. Requirements and conditions of participation: change in elevation ↑ approx. 600 m (1,969 ft.), ↓ approx. 2,100 m (6,890 ft.); duration: approx. 7 hours; basic physical condition; good parallel skiing ability (ski tour experience not necessary).

If you are interested in the diversity of herbs, you can take part in Rosi's hike along the Passerdamm trail. On the way you will learn all about the local herbs. When you arrive at Schildhof Obergereuth, you will make a herb cocktail and rosemary bread together with farmer Elisabeth, which you can then taste together with other herb dishes. The traditional Flower Festival closes the long Spring in Bolzano. On 30 April and 1 May, numerous South Tyrolean flowers return to the Piazza, accompanied by concerts by bands and a varied programme. For the little ones, the Arcimboldo Association offers fun games and entertainment.

The spring hike on the sunny slope of Barbian leads past fields of flowers, streams, chestnut trees and historic buildings to "Dreikirchen". Meeting place at 10am at the Information Office Barbian. Exercises, stories, experiments and tastings then make the knowledge you have acquired tangible for you. You collect ingredients for a delicious herbal spread and make it together. Scenic hikes along the ancient Waalwege accompanied by Thomas, our local guide, as he walks you through the ingenious centuries-old hillside irrigation system. Passing through the orchards you reach the vineyards of the Lehengut Wine Estate. Premium South Tyrolean wines include Pinot Blanc Riesling, supplemented with special local varietals such as Sauvignon Gris. A small surprise lies awaiting at the end.

What better way to celebrate Spring’s reawaking than at start of the Martell Valley. An organized hike leads past Obermontani Castle and the ruins of Untermontani, where the original manuscript of the Song of the Nibelungs dating to 1323 was discovered. Crossing through the fascinating countryside around Laces/Latsch we reach Goldrain Castle to discover a Renaissance gem.

After first getting to know each other, starting from the animals’ winter quarters in Laces, with the llamas on a leash we walk through the surrounding apple meadows and along a serpentine path up to the castle ruins of Untermontani with a wonderful view over the entire central Vinschgau Valley. Continuing towards Obermontani Castle at the entrance to the Martell Valley, we may walk in the footsteps of our medieval ancestors and listen to the stories of our Llamero Florian before taking a rest at the castle. Florian will not only tell you everything about the llamas, but also about the historically significant surroundings. On an old Waalweg (irrigation channel) we then cross the woods above Laces with our cuddly four-legged friends that leads us to the sunny plateau of the Magrinböden. From there we descend via a forest path to the Bierkeller (refreshments possible), before returning to the starting point. If desired, a shorter route is also possible via Saint Stephen's Chapel (14th century - most extensive Gothic fresco cycle in Tyrol) or just through the surrounding meadows! The tour is especially beautiful during the blossoming time of the apple trees! Difference in altitude: approx. 100m Duration: approx. 3 hours (a shorter tour is also possible on request) Suitable for children from 4-5 years, smaller children should be accompanied by another person when leading an animal. The hike starts at the village square in Lajen/Laion. From here you walk together with the hiking guide Helmuth via Fonteklaus to Freins. Arrived at Petra's Honey Hut you come to the first tasting. Different honey variations are tasted and different products are discovered. All are self-produced and processed. Now it goes back to Fonteklaus where lunch is already waiting. After lunch we continue to Lusenegg where the taxi will take us to Novale/Ried. Here is the second stop - jam. At the Zinegg farm there is a wide variety of jams to taste. An organised adventure hike from S. Martino in Monte/St. Martin im Kofel along the Venosta Valley Sonnenberg mountain to Silandro/Schlanders with the focus on the local flora and fauna. Stop and enjoy the regional delicacies against the background of a scenic view of the Venosta Valley basin. A feature of this excursion is the 80 m-long crossing on the suspension bridge over the Fallerbach torrent. Moving into a new home begins with a key; it opens doors, rooms and also represents the bridge to what was once closed. This key symbolises the end of one era and the beginning of another, with the opening of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund exhibition. Since 1989, the Prisma Gallery has been the venue for exhibition activities; from 2024 it will be SKB ARTES, the venue in the Deutschhaus of the Teutonic Order in Via Weggenstein in Bozen. To celebrate this new beginning, the SKB members themselves become hosts and present their personal key works. Key works' are keys to works and have an everlasting influence. The history of art in all its disciplines is full of examples of works like these, which are now etched into the collective memory. Edvard Munch's The Scream, Maurice Ravel's Boléro, Johann von Goethe's Faust or even Le Corbusier's church in Ronchamp occupy a prominent position and the list could go on and on from antiquity to the present day.
