    The last ice age shaped the landscape of Stelvio National Park. How can we still recognize the impact of the ice age today? What is a "rock glacier?" Participants in this guided hike will learn about white gold and read about the traces of the Ice Age. • Duration: 6 hours • You need: Outdoor clothing, backpack (with spare clothes, rain jacket, snacks and drinks), hiking boots • Difficulty: difficult • Difference in hight: ca. 680 HM; • Tour length| ca. 10,5 km • Stop at the Rifugio Canziani for lunch • Shuttle bus: Free transport by shuttle bus from S. Valburga in Val d’Ultimo to the starting point and back. Departure at 9:00 AM from S. Valburga (Tourist Office). The shuttle will make the same stops as the public transport service.     As the colours deepen, the landscapes shift, and nature offers its most striking displays, the end of summer becomes the perfect time to explore the mountains. “Munts dl altonn” is an invitation to slow down, observe, and immerse yourself in the most enchanting season of the mountain landscapes. It's a chance to walk among vibrant trails, breathe in the earthy scents of the forest floor, and taste the flavours that express the true character of the region. Over the course of three weeks, the Dolomites become the stage for a series of original, authentic experiences, led by those who know and love this land. Each week features three distinct activities, each set at a different altitude. The journey begins in the valley and lower mountain forests, along peaceful trails surrounded by rich, vibrant woodlands. It continues through the mid-mountain zone, across alpine pastures and meadows, where natural parks and the biodiversity of the alpine enviroment reveal themselves. Finally, the experience reaches the mountain heights, with panoramic treks along ridgelines and breathtaking views from spectacular summits. Each weekly itinerary culminates in a special culinary event at a mountain hut where regional products from each altitude zone take center stage—enhanced by tastings and exclusive experiences.

    The 3-Länder Enduro Race is pure Enduro racing: Varied and long trails form the perfect basis for three days of Enduro in a class of its own. At the Reschenpass in the border triangle of Austria, South Tyrol and Switzerland, there is an abundance of trails that - mainly due to their length - offer fun and challenge at the same time. Largely natural, the sometimes rooty, sometimes stony, sometimes flowing trails challenge the skills of the riders. From Nauders or Reschen, you usually take the lift to the trail entrance - but in keeping with the true Enduro philosophy, you also have to pedal the one or other hundred meters of altitude. The reward for this is twofold: a beautiful mountain world and the already mentioned routes of the 3-Länder Enduro Trails. And after training or at the end of the (racing) day, you meet at Nauders to chill and barbecue together.

    Sunrise hike on the Plattkofel peak with breakfast @ the Plattkofel mountain hut

    With its unusual shape, the Plattkofel peak is one of the most distinctive and best-known panoramic summits in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. At 2,955 m, the peak also boasts an absolutely spectacular 360° view of the Dolomites at sunrise. A minibus will take you to the Zallinger mountain refuge, from where the fairly steep ascent leads to the Plattkofel mountain refuge. From here, the trail initially leads along a grassy ridge and later a very steep ascent over rocky terrain up to the Plattkofel peak, where you can experience a magnificent sunrise. After the descent along the same trail, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Plattkofel mountain refuge before heading back to the set-off point. DURATION OF THE HIKE (WITHOUT REST) 2:15 h from Zallinger to Plattkofel peak (3,7 km; 900 m uphill) 1 h from the peak to Plattkofel mountain refuge (2,3 km; 650 m downhill) 30 min. from Plattkofel mountain refuge to chair lift Florian (1,4 km; 250 m downhill). There we take the chairlift to Saltria, where the minibus awaits you.

    Discovering the Keschtnweg (Chestnut Trail)

    For a long time, the chestnut was considered a “bread tree”, which mainly served as food for the poorer people. In the Eisacktal valley, the chestnut still has a special significance today, and the “Keschtnweg”, which starts at the Neustift monastery and stretches a total of 90 km to Vilpian, is known far beyond Brixen. Our hike starts in Klausen and takes us to Säben Monastery and then further along the Keschtnweg trail to Felthurns. We can stop for refreshments at the Buschenschank Huber (not included) before visiting Velthurns Castle (admission € 6.00, to be paid on site; children accompanied by an adult free of charge). Duration: ~3 h | 7 km | ↑ 450 m | ↓ 100 m | easy IMPORTANT: all guides are German and Italian speaking
