    Sheep herding in Maso Corto
    Schnals/Senales, Meran/Merano and environs
    For centuries, each June shepherds have been driving their sheep from the Schnalstal Valley across the still snow-mantled saddles to graze in the pasturelands belonging to the farmers in Venter Valley in Austria. They return in mid September. About 1,500 sheep leave from the “Rofenberg-Alm“ in the early morning, reaching Hochjoch near the Bella Vista lodge (2845m) at about 11:30 a. m. The sheep arrive in Maso Corto between 3:00 p. m. The Bella Vista hut (2845 m) can be reached in about 1 hour on foot from the top station of the Roter Kofel chairlift (2543 m), follow the signs and trail number 3.

    Knödel (Dumpling) festival at Sterzing / Vipiteno
    Sterzing/Vipiteno, Sterzing/Vipiteno and environs
    Knödel, round dumplings, both savoury and sweet, are among South Tyrol's most popular culinary specialities and take centre stage in this festival taking place at Vipiteno/Sterzing in September. Savoury varieties are usually made from white bread kneaded with other ingredients and include Speck-Knödel, cheese gnocchi, spinach dumplings, while dumplings with apricots in the centre (Marillen-Knödel), strawberry and plum 'Knödel' are among the seductive dessert specialities. Of course the feasting will accompanied by entertainment including traditional Tyrolean music by local bands. Knödel spiecialities can be tasted in selected restaurants the week before and after the festival.

    Summer Classics with the duo "Brass ensemble Philomousia"

    Summer Classics: Classic concert with "Brass ensemble Philomousia" in the Culture House in Seis am Schlern. The brass ensemble Philomousia was founded in 2005 and has since performed regularly in a variety of formations, from a trio to an extended brass ensemble. The dilettantes (in the literal sense) are particularly keen to cultivate and disseminate classical harmony music. The repertoire ranges from original pre-classical works to typical arrangements of important operas and symphonies from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century for this instrumentation. Othmar Trenner was the ensemble's musical director for ten years, and Manfred Egger has been in charge since 2023.

    Golden³Dolomites: MTB tours to the pastures of Sexten/Sesto
    Sexten/Sesto, Dolomites Region 3 Zinnen
    Start from the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten in the direction of Sexten, then slightly uphill to Mitterberg and on to Nemes Alm. After about 20 minutes we reach a plateau called "Saumad" (1.750 ) where we turn left to the Klammbach-Alm (1.940). Also here we are challenged again to enjoy after approx. 30 minutes at the Almhütte the dreamlike view of the Three Peaks. Arrived at the Klammbach hut, we take a break and enjoy the "Schmankerln" by Hannes, then when Leon briefly unpacks his accordion then the mood is perfect. Passing the "Hennstoll" and via the Sesto circular trail we return to Sesto to the Bike Academy Sesto Dolomites.

    Sunrise hike on mount Sciliar with breakfast at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge

    If you hadn’t realised it before, when the first rays of sun timidly appear on the surrounding peaks you will see just how much it was worth getting up so early. A sunrise mountain tour on the Schlern mountain is a very special experience. A shuttle bus will take you to the Saltner Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you will arrive at Monte Petz (2,564 m) at around 6:50, in perfect time for the sunrise. After this natural spectacle, a well-earned breakfast awaits you at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge, also known as the “castle in the mountains”.     Yoga at the foot of the Latemar with hike

Together with yoga teacher Johanna Kompatscher, we hike into the extraordinary Latemar forest. This is known for its high-quality hazel spruce wood, which is well suited for stringed instruments and is sought after by instrument makers from all over the world. In this idyllic setting at the foot of the Latemar, Johanna will guide us through a meditative practice that strengthens and promotes our strength, flexibility and concentration.     In his presentation "Magical Dolomites", Fabian Dalpiaz presents a selection of his most beautiful and magical photographs and short films that bring the magic of the Dolomites to life. He will tell you what is so special about his work and how he made it all the way to London and Florida with his photographs of the starry sky above the Dolomites. The event will be presented in German and Italian. No registration is required to attend the presentation. Admission is free. Admission is from 19:30 to 20:00.     Ancient herbal knowledge and home-made ribwort syrup

During a short tour of the museum, visitors get to know the rooms of our ancestors, where knowledge about herbs was also practised. The lovingly furnished rooms, chambers and workrooms faithfully reflect the life of our ancestors. Afterwards, our herbalist Doris Schroffenegger will introduce you to the secrets of the power of herbs and their various uses and healing powers - all under the motto: "Support your health all year round with herbs".
