The medium-difficulty e-bike tour around the Latemar is an impressive route that takes you through spectacular Dolomite landscapes. From Obereggen, the route first heads towards Lake Carezza. From the Karerpass | Passo di Costalunga, we descend into the Fassa Valley and then to Predazzo, where we will use the lifts to assist with the climbs. This circular route offers varied trails, breathtaking views of the Latemar and surrounding mountains, and takes you through charming villages and alpine pastures. This tour is perfect for e-bikers looking for a longer route with some challenging sections while wanting to take advantage of the support from their e-bike. With our hiking guide Julian, we will venture into the wild and romantic Tschamin Valley. Immerse yourself in the history of Tiers: along the way, you will learn fascinating facts about the Bergler, the Tschamintaler, the Sour Waterle, and more. We will take our lunch break at the Rechter Leger before hiking back to the Tschaminschwaige. As a grand finale, we will visit the Steger Säge Nature Park information center and witness a demonstration of the old water-powered Venetian sawmill. The Soirées at Tyrol Castle are held every year in June and July, on five Thursdays. Tourdescription: After taking the Tiers cable car to the Frommer Alm mountain hut and the König Laurin 1+2 cable cars to the Kölner mountain hut, our hike begins. The ascent from the Hirzelsteig to the Vajolon Pass (2,560 m) is steep but relatively short. A short iron ladder helps us to overcome the rocks. We then descend to the Rotwand hut, where we take a break. We then follow the high trail past the Christomannos monument to the Paolina hut. From here we take the lifts and the bus back to our starting point in St. Cyprian. "I need a place where I can be alone with a forest nearby..." Letter of Freud to Jung (February 1911). And how did this link between the ideal place for Bolzano residents to go for a bit of 'Sommerfrische', or summer cool, and the genius tourist Sigmund Freud come about? In a letter dating February 1911, he reveals to Carl Gustav Jung «Next summer. I need a place where I can be alone with a forest nearby». So, before Easter, on Friday, the 14th of April, he leaves Vienna in the company of his friend and pupil Sandor Ferenczi and makes a quick tour lasting just six days to find a suitable place around Trento and Bolzano. He returns to Vienna the following Thursday and his research produces excellent results in the form of Ritten/Renon near Bolzano. Consequently, on the 9th of July, Freud sets off from Karlsbad, where he was staying to recover from a bout of 'American colitis', and joins his family at Klobenstein. This is where the Freuds celebrate their silver wedding anniversary, on 14th September - the enjoyment of their holiday thus being enhanced by love and affection. The train experts Martin Broy & Klaus Demar tell interesting facts about the history of the Rittner Bahn and guide you through the remise of Klobenstein & Oberbozen, afterwards special ride with historical train. "The machinist turns the crank, the wagon spins and purrs, a little jerk, then it starts moving..." This is a quote from 1907 when the people from Bozen took the railway Renon (Rittner Bahn) to their summer retreat on the high plateau. Even today, after 113 years, our railway still runs between Maria Himmelfahrt, Oberbozen and Klobenstein as the only narrow-gauge railway in South Tyrol.

40 YEARS OF THE MERANO HIGH MOUNTAIN TRAIL This impressive hike along the historic Merano High Mountain Trail is a journey through time on one of the oldest high-altitude trails in the Alps. Upon arrival at the Texelbahn cable car mountain station, breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Merano basin unfold. The historic trail, once an important connection between mountain farms, leads past original alpine farms and lush mountain meadows. Particularly captivating are the expansive views of the Ziel Valley and the surrounding peaks of the Texel Group Nature Park. A hike full of history, amusing anecdotes, and fascinating background information, accompanied by hiking and cultural guide Claudia Gilli. Patronal Day at Völser Aicha Start from 14:30 at the Gostneregg fairground in Völser Aicha

The tour starts at the Ratschings valley station in front of the Rent and Go bike rental. We follow the Pfeifer Huisele path along country lanes and forest roads towards the Klammalm. From here onwards, the technical riders are in their element. The trail towards Wumblsalm has it all. This is followed by a short descent across meadows before a partly challenging section leads to the highest point of the tour, the Wasserfalleralm. Here we enjoy a long break with good food. Strengthened, we follow a fantastic panoramic trail to the Rinneralm. The last few kilometers are downhill on the toboggan run back to the starting point. Registration only from the age of 15.

A wonderful evening entirely dedicated to Caldaro’s white wines. Fresh, fruity, with nuances going from greenish to bright yellow and hints of apple, banana or pineapple. South Tyrolean white wines are amongst Italy’s best wines. A unique occasion to taste the very best of South Tyrolean’s wine road. Through a “blind tasting” a jury of experts and wine connoisseurs carefully chooses the wines which will be presented during this event. Sight, smell and taste – these are the three senses that will be the leading characters of this wonderful summer evening.

During the treasure hunt in the great outdoors, we learn all kinds of interesting facts about the different breeds of cows in South Tyrol, why a cow produces milk and how butter used to be made. As we continue our walk to the Kneipp area, we go in hunt of dairy products and finally get to shake and taste butter ourselves. Who can solve the exciting quizzes and follow the trail of the treasure hunt? We then visit the animals on the farm and finish with a delicious yogurt ice cream.

The starting point is Flading in the Ratschingstal valley. Our route takes us up to the Gleckalm (not cultivated) via trail no. 30. The route alternates between flatter and steeper sections, which makes the hike particularly varied. The landscape presents itself in all its diversity and beauty. Once we have reached the Gleckalm plateau, we continue on our way to the Glecksee lake. The way back is mostly along the same path, but there is the option of organizing an alternative downhill version via the Klammalm. Total distance: 10.6 km (5.5 km to Glecksee) Total duration: 6.5 hours Difference in altitude: 950 m Difficulty: difficult - sure-footedness is required, a good level of fitness is essential and prior training is recommended. The guided e-bike tour starts at the Rent and Go bike rental at the Ratschings valley station. We start with a group game and playfully learn the most important riding safety tips. Afterwards we drive together along the Pfeifer Huisele path to Flading to the barefoot path with Kneipp facility. There we have a little refreshment at the witches' fountain. Fun balancing exercises await us before we head back to the starting point. The tour is fun for adults and children from 6 years (only with driving experience). On request, a child seat for children up to 20 kg or a bicycle trailer for max. 2 children up to 5 years can be reserved. The e-bike tour is accompanied by a trained South Tyrolean bike guide.
