Arrival by public bus via Chiusa to the Villanderer Almen. Our tour starts at the Gasser hut. From here, hiking trail no. 6 leads in the direction of the Lake Totensee, which crosses the extensive pastureland of the Villanderer Alm on a gentle ascent. After around one and a half hours, we reach the Totenkirchl church. The picturesque Lake Totensee is just a ten-minute walk. Surrounded on two sides by high cliffs, it offers a dreamy view of the rocky realm of the Dolomites. Via the Prackfiederer Jöchl we reach the Stöffl Hut where we have lunch. After a leisurely break, we descend back to the Gasser Hut and take the bus back to Laion. Via the Schafsteig to the Rotwand Hut in the Catinaccio with hiking guide Ferdinand Pardeller Ascent from Welschnofen | Nova Levante with the public bus to Vigo di Fassa. From there we take the Ciampedie cable car. From Ciampedie we hike moderately steeply along the narrow sheep trail (Vial de le Feide) to the foot of the Mugoni, an imposing rocky peak in the Catinaccio massif. From there the trail leads us past the Roda di Vael and the Window Tower to the Roda di Vael hut. Descent to the Karerpass | Passo Costalunga and return by bus to Welschnofen | Nova Levante to the starting point. An exciting adventure awaits you during the guided tour of the church tower! From our expert guide Oswald Tröbinger you will not only learn why the church and the tower were built separately, but also have the opportunity to climb the observation tower: 82 meters high, with more than 300 steps. The tour lasts one hour and is a must for every visitor. The tour is only in German and Italian. However, you can still take part to see the tower from inside.

Film presentation for the 50th anniversary: „The Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. Living heritage of the Dolomites” A documentary film was made last fall for the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The 30-minute film not only captivates with breathtaking landscape shots, it also tells about the mountain refuges, the agriculture, geology and the people who live and work in the nature park. The film premiere will be followed by a panel discussion. Both the film and the panel discussion are only in German.

CHORAL SINGING AND THE DOLOMITES UNITED IN A UNIQUE, GREAT FESTIVAL The Alta Pusteria International Choral Festival is a non competitive choral event that takes place in Val Pusteria: this valley, one among the most beautiful one of the whole Alpine arc, is located at the border between Italy (Sudtirol region) and Austria (Osttirol region) at the foot of the Dolomites. The Festival programme includes about sixty performances divided into real concerts, “Open Air Reviews” and Meeting-Days, in which each participating choir can freely perform their repertoire. The first edition of the Festival took place in 1998; since then more than 1300 choirs, coming from 49 countries, have been participating in the twenty-five editions set up till 2022. The variety of the locations selected for the performances together with the extremely rich repertoire presented by the participating choirs make this event not only one of the most spectacular international choral festivals but also a unique opportunity of mutual and fruitful exchange between different musical cultures.

Together with our herb experts, we explore the world of wild plants and medicinal herbs around our wonderful alpine pasture landscape on the "Kühberg". From Lajen/Laion we hike along the Walther von der Vogelweide circular trail descending towards Albions (857m). From here continue along the Walther von der Vogelweide circular trail to Ried/Novale (760m) and Villnod (657m). From Villnod walk along path no. 2 in the direction of Castel Forte (627m). You can visit the former home of Oswald von Wolkenstein, one of the most imposing castles of South Tyrol. It was built at the end of the 12th century and rebuilt into a resistant fortress in the 17th century. Experience the fascinating beauty of the Dolomites on a round trip with a small bus! Departure is from Völs am Schlern at 8:45 am, from Seis am Schlern at 8:55 am and from Kastelruth at 9:00 am. The route takes you from Völs to Kastelruth through the enchanting Val Gardena, over the Sella Pass and the impressive Pordoi Pass, up to the Falzarego Pass and on to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Lake Misurina awaits you there, where we take a break of about an hour. Here you have the opportunity to dine in the restaurant or enjoy some food you have brought with you while enjoying the view of the famous "Drei Zinnen". After a relaxing break, the journey continues into the Höhlenstein Valley and the historic town of Bruneck. Arrival in Kastelruth is planned for around 18:30. The guide will speak German and Italian, but you are welcome to join the tour to enjoy the nature and beauty of the Dolomites. 40 years jubilee concert The Big Band Intica, founded in the distant year 1983 in San Candido, is celebrating its 40th anniversary on stage this year, which is remarkable for a big band, especially in these increasingly fast-moving times.
