Even today, as in the past, the harvest festival is a reminder of Thanksgiving Day, celebrated in gratitude for what has been received during the past year. The establishments belonging to the Locanda Sudtirolese group have decided to take care of this tradition, this year putting the forest in the spotlight. Products such as mushrooms, chestnuts, berries, game, wild herbs and much more are transformed by restaurateurs into tasty dishes with an unmistakable flavor. Die Ladiner, Joakin from Ortisei and Otto from S. Cristina, have written the history of folk music and sparked enthusiasm in the German-speaking world with their touching music inspired by the Dolomites. After securing the second place at the Grand Prix della Volksmusik in 2002, their career took off rapidly, culminating in victory in 2004 with the song "Beuge dich vor grauem Haar" (Bow Before Gray Hair). Their music reflects the unique beauty of the Dolomites, often centered around the mountains, and they received recognition such as the "Musikantenkönige des Monats Mai" in 2004 with "Erzähl mir deine Träume" (Tell Me Your Dreams).

The traditional fair also better known as "Micheli market" takes place yearly in Martelltal Valley. A wide range of products attracts guests from near and far to the typical market.

The Dolomites Medium Delicious Trail is a foot race along the paths of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, about 35 km with 1,900 metres of positive difference in altitude, starting from the centre of La Villa in front of the tourist office. Maximum time: 9 hours. From the centre of La Villa, the route follows for a stretch the Path of the Artists and leads to San Cassiano. There begins the ascent along the Altin ski run to the iconic Gran Risa and Piz La Villa, crosses the Armentarola area and the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. From there, the path takes the runners up to Mt. Lagazuoi at an altitude of 2,778 m, followed by the descent to the finish line at Pocol, for a total of around 35 km and 1.900 metres of elevation gain: pure pleasure! There are 4 wonderful refreshment points along the Alta Badia route, which have been set up by Team Delicious, where you can take a break and enjoy quality products and local specialities. The Event "Meransener Almabtrieb" has a long tradition and has developed into a true South Tyrolean folk festival. Various folk dance groups, traditional costume associations, Schuhplattler groups, the Meransen rifle band and many more take part in the parade of colourfully decorated cows.

On 28 September 2024, after the Zsigmondylauf, the Vertical Arena will take place at the Rifugio Comici to mark the anniversary of the Zwölferkofel this summer. Wingsuit pilot and mountain guide Marco Milanese will climb the Zwölferkofel and then glide back to the hut with his wingsuit. There he will talk about these and other adventures on the rock and in the air. This talk is entitled ‘Volare le montagne-di linee,equilibir e altre libertà’ and will be held in Italian. Afterwards there will be musical entertainment by the group ‘Cose di famiglia’ and a dinner with star chef Chris Oberhammer. This is an outdoor event, so warm clothing is recommended. Sleeping facilities are available, reservations and bookings for the dinner can be made directly at the Zsigmondyhütte.

It's that time again at the end of September. The village of Colle celebrates its "Keiler Kirchtag". A traditional festival with a large parade and cattle drive on Sunday. Festively decorated animals, magnificently decorated floats, Schuhplattler and marching bands create this festive parade to the fairground. Saturday program: from 3 pm.: setting up of the "Kirschta Michl Bams", from 7 pm.: festivities and musical entertainment. Under the title AMONG THE INVISIBLE JOINS, Museion is exhibiting over 150 works by more than 80 artists from one of the most visionary and significant private collections of international contemporary art in Italy: the Enea Righi Collection. Thanks to a longstanding, trustful relationship, this collection has shaped Museion’s research into transdisciplinary, poetic, and socio-politically engaged artistic practices for over a decade. It features a wide range of art works, architectural designs, and artists’ books by renowned international artists and collectives such as Massimo Bartolini, Alighiero Boetti, Anna Boghiguian, Trisha Donnelly, Theaster Gates, Nan Goldin, Marisa Merz, Sturtevant, Superstudio, Walid Raad, Franz Erhard Walther, Lawrence Weiner, Akram Zaatari, and many more. The exceptional nature of the exhibition is evident in the fact that it occupies the entire building and features the first showing of several recent acquisitions to the collection, including works by Sonia Boyce, Roni Horn, and Ser Serpas. At the heart of the works in the Enea Righi Collection is the human being with all its hidden truths and emotions, its intimacy and relationships with others, its self-perception and its perception from the outside.

At the end of September, the rutting of the Red deer begins in the Stelvio National Park. Dressed warmly, we listen to the roaring of the male deer echoing through the autumn forests. With any luck, we may also observe them. On Sunday, 29th September 2024 the event will take place all day, especially for nature photographers.

Our events combines music and enjoyment in the village centre. Visitors can also expect a tasting of alpine and mediterranean delicacies during a traditional concert by our local music bands.

The old, unspoilt hiking trail begins at the parish church in Glorenza/Glurns and leads through meadows and fields to the restored, late Gothic St. Jakob's Church in Söles/Soles. The trail continues along a meadow path to Lichtenberg and a short climb to the ruins of Lichtenberg Castle, first mentioned in a document in 1228. A visit is possible if desired.
