In this cookery course, farmer Brigitte from Avelengo reveals the recipe for a delicious Kaiserschmarrn and shows children the tricks to achieve a fluffy result on the plate, so that they can easily recreate it at home. The wind, the bare rock and a panorama that only a few can claim to have seen. Nothing else can distract you from one of the most adrenaline-pumping and spectacular hikes in our area. The reward for challenging your limits? The 360-degree view from the summit of Piz da Peres, with the view stretching from the peaks of the Ahrntal valley to the glaciers of Austria. The hike is also suitable for beginners; only the easy section of the via ferrata is tackled. Should the guide judge the group to be sufficiently experienced, the entire via ferrata can be hiked. From Passo Furcia we walk to the idyllic Alpine pasture Fojedöra, where young students look after the grazing livestock and make their own bread and cheese - as if time had stood still here... Arrived at the Lake of Braies, the majestic Croda del Becco is reflected in the largest lake of the Dolomites, its clear water shimmers in all shades of blue and green. Alma Mahler welcomes you The composition house in Carbonin Vecchia reopens its doors in the summer months....with a very special hostess Anyone who cultivates a passion for culture and music knows that Dobbiaco holds a treasure trove. Lying on a meadow overlooking the village and the entire valley, close to the forest towards Pian di Maia, is a small, simple wooden building. The building at first glance appears very modest, but stands proud and aware of its incredible significance and history. Between those planks, in fact, the famous Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, accompanied by his beloved Alma, between the summers of 1908 and 1910, found peace and inspiration to compose some of his most beautiful and important symphonies, among them 'Das Lied von der Erde' (The Song of the Earth). After careful restoration, the composition house at the Trenkerhof finally reopens its doors to all those who want to breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday and every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Santer Family, owner of the cultural asset, every visitor will have the chance to step back in time and breathe in the magic of those places and the surrounding nature. They will be welcomed by a very special hostess... Alma, the composer's beloved companion until her death in 1911, herself an eclectic and important figure in the history of world culture, who will make the visit even more special with stories and anecdotes. The four musicians Sonja Wallnöfer, Greta Franzelin, Sonja Oberkofler and Alex Designori came together through their shared South Tyrolean origins and energetic passion for chamber music. The four saxophonists completed their musical training in various places in Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The ensemble has been sharing its passion for music with audiences since 2020. The SAGS Quartet has already performed at various concert halls and festivals, including the Brucknerhaus Linz, the Alpen Classica Festival and the Kulturverein Musik & Kirche. The ensemble's repertoire includes original works and arrangements of classical and contemporary music, which reflect the broad spectrum of tonal facets of the saxophone. The ensemble's creativity and constant curiosity for other art forms helps the quartet to constantly come up with new ideas and ultimately interdisciplinary collaborations and performances. In this way, the SAGS Quartet gains a foothold in the world of music theatre, but also explores the fusion of literature and music. This joy of experimentation is uniquely reflected in the concert programmes.
