The 46th Dobbiaco-Cortina Cross Country Race will take place on 4th and 5th February 2023. the start is in Landro at the foot of the Three Peaks direction Toblach, from there it descends to the Lake of Toblach, 1.5 km from the Nordic Arena, then turns back to the War cemetery, Landro Lake, the Viewpoint of the Three Peaks and Carbonin. Pass Cimabanche is the highest point of the course. From there the track goes downwards to Ospitale and finally finishes at Cortina d’Ampezzo town center – bus station area.

Every Sunday from 04.02.2024 to 07.04.2024 the chair lift and the ski slope Oberholz are already open especially for you from 07.30 a.m.! Requirements: Every participant has to own a valid multi-day ski pass or season ski pass Val di Fiemme/Obereggen or Dolomiti Superski or buy a daily ticket. The skipass office in Obereggen will be open for Be the first form 07.30 a.m..   This Event does not take place due to bad weather.

Design meets ecology – Geothermal energy at the Oberholz Alpine Chalet Guided tour with hearty snack The Oberholz Alpine Chalet is a very special place. With a thoroughly modern design including a comfortable lounge area and giant glass viewing windows. Just like the entire Obereggen ski and hiking area, we here at the Oberholz Alpine Chalet value energy efficiency. We heat using geothermal energy. The entire exterior façade is covered with larch wood slats, and the interior paneling consists of spruce wood. An expert will explain how the whole concept works. And afterwards, in the three parlor rooms floating above the legendary Oberholz ski slopes, you can enjoy a hearty snack amidst the authentic surroundings. Carnival in Colfosco: between colours, music and fun on the slopes. In cooperation with the Tourist Office of Selva, the Selva Ski School organises a carnival parade for everyone. Adults or children, everyone is invited to take part in the carnival parade with fantastic costumes. The parade starts at 5.30 p.m. at the Selva Ski School and moves along Via Nives to the Town Hall Square, where there will be entertainment for children. All participants can enjoy the traditional 'Panicia' barley soup. We look forward to seeing you in fantastic costumes. Registration NOT necessary!

Bobby, the circus monkey, provides an entertaining children's music programme on the town square with his funny, lively and atmospheric songs. The Bobby live show is a special experience that the children will remember. As barley soup with smoked carré was usually cooked for lunch on Fat Thursday, young people and children would sleep in their neighbours' houses to swap the soup pot with the tasty dish for a pot with an old shoe floating in the water. The Ladin song "Ncuei juebia grassa..." was written for this occasion. In keeping with tradition, barley soup is served on the village square in S. Cristina on Carnival Thursday. Juebia Grassa The carnival parade starts at 3 p.m. The parade starts from the Hotel Madonna and passes through the entire pedestrian zone to the parish church square, where prizes will be awarded to the most beautiful masks. The Banishing of Winter in Prato allo Stelvio The banishing of winter and the race of the Zussl are ancient traditional customs practiced only in Prato allo Stelvio. Every year at this time, there is a carnival procession and a noisy ritual repeated exactly the same way. On Shrove Tuesday the town’s youth wear white costumes adorned with colored flowers made of paper and large bells, some as heavy as 20 kg, are worn around the waist of the males. The Zussl are dressed in white from head to toe and adorned with colored ribbons and paper pulp flowers. Tied around their waists, they wear large noisy bells, which often weigh over 20 kilos.

Three times during the winter the Ski School 2000 organizes a "Snowboard & Ski Show by Night". Our instructors demonstrate the different techniques in skiing and snowboarding. You will be impressed by the cool jumps and crazy tricks!

Skijoring is a Scandinavian winter sport that is still not too familiar with us, but increasingly popular. A skier is thereby pulled by a rope of a horse. What originally was a relatively easy method of locomotion particularly over long distances in the long Scandinavian winter, is now a very spectacular and action-packed sport. The challenge here is that the beast of burden during acceleration does not bring his own skier to fall and that and that he is not borne off track in the turns by centrifugal force. Of course there is also the matter of being faster than its competitors.
