Every year after the village festival in St. Jacob, on Monday the market "Segra Sacun" will be held in the pedestrian area of Ortisei. The “Segra Sacun” market is the largest market of the year, which is filled with numerous stands that offer culinary delights and craft products. According to an ancient tradition, girls and women, on the occasion of this day, will be gifted with decorated pears as a sign of sympathy and love.

ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Bachlerhof. We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna up to the Pichler restaurant and then hike through the Vallplatz forest to the Bachlerhof farm and after a stop for refreshments we continue to Verdins. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music are of course not to be missed! A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Registration required in the tourist information office by 5 pm on the previous day. Limited number of participants.

From the bridge on the road to the Timmelsjoch Pass at the end of the Val Passiria valley, we begin our hike along the high-altitude trail “Tiroler Höhenweg,” which gently ascends through the forest. The final section climbs more steeply, leading us up small switchbacks to the Monteneve mine. We take a break at the Monteneve inn to refresh ourselves, then continue on to the “Obere Gostalm” mountain pasture, before returning to the road to the Timmelsjoch Pass. Elevation gain: approx. 600 m Walking time: 4.5–5 hours Difficulty: moderate

Start your day with an unforgettable experience! On the sunrise hike to the Flecknerspitze (2,336 m), you'll experience pure goosebump moments. As the first rays of sunlight bathe the mountains in warm light and you feel the peacefulness of nature, the early wake-up call and the climb are quickly forgotten. Together, we'll hike to the summit in the early morning hours and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view. After this special nature experience, we'll round off the tour with a delicious breakfast at a cozy alpine hut. Join herbal expert Rosi on a hike around St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo, get to know the local herbs and learn all about their use in the medicine cabinet. In the following workshop, you will prepare natural remedies together with Rosi and receive valuable tips for your home pharmacy. Walking time: approx. 1 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 100 m The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

During the colourful autumn, families interested in nature learn in a playful way about the forest and its inhabitants together with a biologist on a walk around St. Magdalena: Which trees grow in Villnöss valley? Which animals can we observe in the forest? You will learn lots of exciting things about the forest through games, searching for clues and interesting materials. Target group: Families with children aged 6 to 12 years. The Gollimarkt is a traditional market that takes place on October 16 (St. Gallus' Day) in the center of Mals. The Gollimarkt was established together with the Georgimarkt in 1642 on the occasion of the elevation of the village to a market town by Archduchess Claudia de' Medici. This year the colorful autumn market offers farm products, handicrafts and art!

Through her teaching, participants experience how healing textile craftsmanship can be. The Makramee workshop takes place in collaboration with Ingrid Bodner (Kunst in Textil). The Bolzano Concert Association is one of the oldest music organisers in Tyrol. It goes back to the Bolzano Music Society, which has been instrumental in the musical development of Bolzano since 1855. Since its foundation in 1855, its aim has been to organise an annual season of first-class classical music concerts in Bolzano almost without interruption.

The mythical creatures are so mysterious that they involuntarily cast a spell over the viewer. You will encounter figures such as bird-women and goat-fish, dog-headed creatures, shadow-footed creatures and many more. Let yourself be whisked away into a realm of archaic beauty and mystery. The chapel offers wonderful frescoes from the Romanesque and Gothic periods with many exciting scenes, which were created between 1220 and 1450. Duration approx. 45 minutes.

Local Wines, Fine Delicacies, and Lively Music: In autumn, Tramin Wine Lane is all about seasonal delights and sociable gatherings. With the traditional Tramin Wine Lane, the people of Tramin celebrate the golden autumn and its treasures each year. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, visitors from near and far will once again flock to the festively decorated village lane, where all sorts of culinary delights from kitchen and cellar await tasting. Here’s how it works: After paying a €5 deposit, you’ll receive a beautiful glass bearing the Tramin coat of arms. With it, you can sample the finest wines from Tramin’s wineries at the various stands. The prices for individual wines are displayed at each stand. The celebrations of the "Wine Alleyway", in the heart of the historic centre of Termeno which is open only to pedestrians, is an appointment not to be missed: the best Traminer wines will be offered in cups made for this very occasion along with special South Tyrolean delicacies in an atmosphere of music and folklore.

The biggest event of the musical year is the spring concert, which takes place every year on the first Sunday in March in the Kursaal in Merano. The band also plays several concerts in and outside Lana every year and takes part in numerous church celebrations. Several musicians play together in one of the two Bohemian bands or in other smaller groups. Youth work is one of the most important tasks for a music band today. A lot of attention is therefore paid to recruiting new musicians and looking after the young musicians. Martin Knoll has been the leader of the Bürgerkapel-le Lana since 2007. Andreas Benedikter, born in 1981 in Brixen, received his first music lessons at the music school in Brixen. He then studied at the ‘C. Monteverdi’ Conservatory in Bolzano (recorder, piano, chamber music) and worked as a piano accompanist and instrumental teacher at the South Tyrolean Institute for Music Education. From 2009 to 2015 he lived and worked in Innsbruck, where he was a piano teacher at PianoArt. He has been teaching at various music and secondary schools in South Tyrol since 2015 and has been the organist at the parish church in Unterinn since 2018.
