LANAPHIL, the widely known stamp collectors fair has become an international event with participants from all over Europe. Along with a large selection of historical postcards, military items, banknotes, stamps and genuine historical stocks, LanaPhil also offers old shares and bonds as well as books, etchings and modern European stamps from the last 20 years. A special highlight is the personalised stamp depicting the famous gothic winged altar by Hans Schnatterpeck in the parish church of Niederlana. The collectors fair takes place in the great hall as well as the foyer of the Raiffeisenhaus Lana and is open to the public from 9 am to 2 pm.

On Sunday, 6 October 2024, a unique culinary experience awaits all gourmets. Three renowned chefs from the region - Philip Lochmann from Gourmethotel Engel (Welschnofen), Reinhard Daverda from Naturhotel Pfösl (Deutschnofen) and Kurt Resch from Biohotel Steineggerhof (Steinegg), as well as farmers from Deutschnofen will be creating a very special lunch. 99% of the ingredients, from fresh vegetables to eggs and meat, come directly from the farmers of the Val d'Ega. The menu is complemented by carefully selected wines from the Pitzner and Gojer wineries, which round off the culinary experience perfectly. The perfect atmosphere in the new Bewaller Stådel in Obereggen is provided by atmospheric jazz music, which accompanies guests on a flavourful journey through the Val d'Ega. The event is organised by the ‘Eggental Taste Local’ initiative and is a visible expression of the collaboration between almost 30 restaurants and 14 farmers in the Eggental Valley. The aim: to market products such as vegetables, herbs and eggs in an uncomplicated and direct way, thereby promoting regionality, local added value and cooperation between agriculture and tourism. Cost: 70 € per person including aperitif, three-course menu, selected wines from the Pitzner and Gojer wineries, Caroma coffee and water.

In Prato allo Stelvio, ancient customs and traditions are experienced like in few other places in South Tyrol. "Zusslrennen" and "Machgertanz" in carnival, the "Goaßlschnölln" group and the famous "Tuifl" devils of St. Nicholas in December are just a few examples of the village's cultural specialities. The entire variety of living traditions and ancient costumes will be brought closer to visitors during the seventh festival of tradition and taste, to be held on 6 October 2024. The Tourist Association of Prato, together with the participating associations, invites you to participate in a colourful programme of events as part of the festival. From local and regional customs to culinary delights, a large craft and gourmet market, open kitchen, bowling alley, harmonious music and much more, there is much for festival visitors to see and experience. The festival starts at 9.30 a.m. with a morning pint in the main square of Prato.

We warmly invite you to the Rosari Cattle Drive on Sunday, October 6th 2024. The program begins at 10:00 AM with a morning pint, accompanied by the music band of Gudon. Later, enjoy an impressive performance by the "Schuhplattler" of Laion. From 1:00 PM, the “Südtiroler Gaudimusikanten” will provide musical entertainment. At 3:00 PM, the highlight of the day awaits you: the Cattle Drive with a grand parade. Connoisseurs and friends of South Tyrolean cuisine should not miss the Törggelefest! Traditional dishes, roasted chestnuts and new wine, as well as musical entertainment with the Olmenrausch (10.30-13.00) and Männer der Berge (13.30-16.30) on the town hall square in Naturno. Start 10.30 am. Admission free! In case of bad weather the event is canceled.

At 10.00 a.m. the cattle will be decorated at the Malga Tuff from where they will be driven to Fiè. They will arrive at Fiè at approximately 11.30 a.m. or 12.00 p.m. At 1.00 p.m. there will be benediction of the cattle followed by a festival at the festival place Völs.

Why are leaves colourful? What kinds of fruit grow at the gardens? Are things still flowering? The Autumn Day offers a varied program in the gardens: see, hear, smell, touch. Visitors of all ages can join in on an intriguing botanical experience.

Thanksgiving Day in Kastelruth is an annual event where the people of the community express their gratitude for a successful harvest year. On the day of the celebration a Holy Mass is held, followed by a procession through the streets of the village. The procession starts at the church and goes through the streets of Kastelruth, while the villagers sing their harvest songs. At the end of the procession, the congregation gathers in the village square, where our local parish priest concludes the Mass and gives God's blessing to all those present.

"Autumn festival at the old vine of Margreid" - the planting date 1601 is carved in stone. The village festival is organised by the old men's football club. Typical chestnuts, goulash with "Plent", spinach dumplings, Strauben and other delicacies are served. Musical entertainment is also provided. A Bohemian band will be playing, followed by a DJ with party music.

Closing event with farmers' market, food and wine stations from 11:00am at Monte Baranci. The day event at the mountain station presents dishes created by the guest chefs on specific themes, each with a product from a local producer or farmer, which can be tasted by visitors of their choice. Local winegrowers are represented at various stations with their wines.

Kids festival organised by the Haflinger Horse Breeding Association in Oberplanitzing. Traditional Tyrolean specialities and roasted chestnuts are served.

The Oberbozen music band plays a short concert at the Parkhotel Holzner in Oberbozen at 12.30 a.m.

Autumn Festival of the Algund Brass Band On Sunday, October 6, the Algund Brass Band invites you to their second Autumn Festival. Starting at 11:00 AM, enjoy a festive atmosphere with delicious food and great music. Four different music groups will provide entertainment this year: the Algund Youth Band, the philharmonic brass band from Zollernalb, a surprise new ensemble from the Algund Brass Band members, and the renowned "Fetzmusig," a brass ensemble from the Burggrafenamt that has been performing for over 20 years and includes several members of the Algund Brass Band. Culinary delights will be provided by the well-known kitchen of Gasthaus Kienegg in Vellau! The festival will continue until the early evening, and the Algund Brass Band looks forward to welcoming many visitors!

Every first Sunday from May to October, the mountain hut landlords invite you to enjoy special delicacies and atmospheric music. The cable cars Hirzer, Verdins-Tall, chairlift Grube and the innkeepers of Obertall, Videgg and the Hirzer hiking area invite you to enjoy hiking and culinary delights.

The music band of St. Martin invites you to the traditional Törggele Festival.
