The toboggan world cup in Deutschnofen takes place on the „Pfösl Riep“ natural toboggan run, which is one of the most well-known tracks in South Tyrol. The course is challenging and offers athletes a combination of tight curves and technical sections. It winds through the beautiful South Tyrolean landscape and is highly popular among athletes and spectators for its difficulty and scenic beauty.

We propose cooking lessons based on simple ingredients. You can learn about our traditional Ladin cooking linked to local traditions. In a few hours, you can learn to cook and finally enjoy some Ladin specialities. The cook speaks Italian and German. Information and reservation at the tourist offices or online by the day before (limited places). During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

Enjoy the unique soundscape of the alphorn blowers on Friday afternoon. The music is inspiring, relaxing and unique.

On this family walk you will discover all the tricks, which the animals in the Nature Park have developed to survive during the cold season. With help from a ranger, children and parents will learn together how to interpret animal tracks in the forest. After the adven- ture in the snow, you can warm up with a good hot tea in the Visitor center.

This winter, the Watles adventure mountain once again invites you to enjoy sporty and culinary adventures at 2,000 metres! All this awaits you at the ski touring and snowshoe evening on Watles Adventure Mountain. Sports enthusiasts can trudge up the designated trails on touring skis or snowshoes to the Höfer Alm alpine pasture, where hot drinks and good food await them afterwards. Be part of the fun! The team at Watles Adventure Mountain is looking forward to seeing you!

The Oberholz mountain hut at 2,096 metres above sea level opens its doors again in the evening and invites you to an ‘Aperitivo lungo’ with specially created drinks and local delicacies. The Obereggen-Oberholz chairlift is the only way up to the mountain hut and back down to the valley. On eight selected Fridays – 3 and 17 January, 7 and 21 February, 7 and 21 March and 4 and 18 April 2025 – visitors can enjoy the unforgettable starry sky under the Latemar at the ApéroOberholz. Specially created drinks and spritz variations, accompanied by small appetisers and accompanied by festive DJ music make the ApérOberholz a unique experience. To find out what has remained of this tradition, what winegrowing in the abbey’s vineyards involves today and the philosophy on which it is based, come on a vineyard tour. We’ll not only tell you all about Neustift winegrowing but also serve you its products. The tour of the vineyards together with the following wine tasting takes about 90 minutes in all. And lasts for longer. Participation in the vineyard tour is only possible with prior registration. To help us start punctually … Please come to the abbey entrance 15 minutes before the beginning of the tour.

Before breakfast, it is possible to participate in the Early Bird event: walk and exercise outdoors with qualified staff. Brigitte Knapp & Daniel Faranna (BZ): ‘Verwurzelt & versteinert - GsichterGschichtn’. Brigitte Knapp: composition, vocals Daniel Faranna: arrangement, vocals, instruments A cabaret of stories on the border between literature, music and visual art Faces in trees, roots, rocks or stones... I see them all the time! Am I crazy? Brigitte Knapp wonders. She decides to turn to ‘therapist’ Daniel Faranna, who also happens to be a musician and masters a wide range of instruments. His advice? Listen to those faces and turn their stories into written words. ‘Verwurzelt & versteinert - GsichterGschichtn’ is a unique narrative collection, published in September 2024 by Edition Laurin in Innsbruck. The book combines poetry, prose and songs in standard German and South Tyrolean dialect, inspired by photographs of faces immortalised in natural formations. The songs can be listened to online via QR code. Brigitte Knapp and Daniel Faranna bring book and music to the stage in an evening of theatrical art combining literature and music, enhanced by videos by Stefan Ghedina. Oberholz and tortellini from Valeggio sul Mincio in an unprecedented combination. The ValeggiObereggen Day will take place on Saturday 22 February 2025 in the Oberholz mountain hut in Obereggen, an architectural jewel at an altitude of 2096 metres. The unique partnership between the Latemar, represented by the Oberholz mountain hut, and the Mincio river in the province of Verona, represented by the historic Alla Borsa restaurant in Valeggio sul Mincio. Watch the talented chefs of Alla Borsa prepare tortellini in the Oberholz mountain hut and learn the techniques of the excellent hostess of Ristorante Alla Borsa Nadia Pasquali. The handmade tortellini, which are freshly prepared every day by skilful hands for the internationally renowned restaurant, will be served. On 22 February, two types of tortellini will be on the menu at the Oberholz mountain hut.
