On our weekly snowshoe hikes, we roam together the untouched snow fields and enjoy the silence of the magnificent Pustertal Valley nature. A special highlight for hikers away from the hustle and bustle of the slopes! If you don't have snowshoes, you can rent them for €15.00 (to be paid directly to the guide in cash). With our mountain guide Manuel we drive into the Höhlensteintal `till we arrive at the parking area before the Lake of Misurina. By snowmobile we ride above to the Alpine hut Rifugio Bosi. From there we start with our snowshoes to the Monte Piana to reach the Open Air Museum of the First World War. After our historic circuit hike we return to the Rifugio Bosi. It expect us the 5 km long sledging run slope among the UNESCO World Heritage with a stunning view to the most popular peaks of the Dolomites, like the Drei Zinnen of Lavaredo, Monte Cristallo, the Tofana peaks and many others. With a lot of manual work and great passion, the grapes are gently processed and wines full of character are produced.

Activities with the ambassadors of the Ladin tradition. After the white of snow, here comes the white of flour. Spending a few hours with Nikolas means discovering the world of bread-making from a very privileged point of view: he will reveal the secrets of his fragrant, crispy, soft and delicious preparations, from the typical pucce to biscuits, to the various types of bread that here in the valley are a distinctive sign of our being at the table. From Christmas preparations to Easter plaits and bunnies, there are three fragrant appointments not to be missed, all in the family bakery in Corvara. Information and reservation at the tourist offices or online within the day before (limited places). During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. We set off into Valle di Braies Vecchia by minibus from San Candido and using the snow-covered road towards Prato Piazza we reach the 2000 meters high alpine plateau. From there it’s a short walk to Rifugio Prato Piazza (base camp). There, we put on our snowshoes. Past Swiss pine woods we gently cross the high plateau and climb Monte Specie (2,307 m). A stunning circular view and intense winter fun for relatively small climbing effort. Refreshment stop possible at the end of the hike. In the evening, the snow-covered landscape of wintertime Deutschnofen has a magic all its own. The moon and stars make the snowy slopes sparkle – if the sky is cloudy, we simply bring along some torches to light our way during our romantic nighttime stroll. Meeting place: Always at 6:00 p.m. at the Deutschnofen Tourist Agency. The 4-km-long tour involves 200 meters of altitude differential and takes about two hours. Winter hike 360° with fantastic outlooks onto the surrounding mountains of Latemar and Rosengarten/Catinaccio, which are part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. The hike on trail [K] and trail [10] leads through impressive landscapes from Deutschnofen/Nova Ponente to the country café Wölflhof, by crossing meadows and passing beautiful farms. After a lunch break at Wölflhof, the hike moves on to Kesselmoos. From there, trail [5] with a fantastic outlook, leads back to the starting point. Snowshoe tour along the crest of Rasciesa in direction Brogles to the hut Geisleralm. Stopover at the hut followed by a joint toboggan run down to St.Magdalena/Ranui. Arrival by cab via Val Gardena to Ortisei to the valley station Rasciesa (1.304m). Our tour begins with the ride of the funicular (fee required) to the Rasciesa (2163m). From the top station, take trail no. 35, to the Brogles Hut (2054m). Behind the hut the path joins the Adolf Munkel path, which was built as early as 1905. You walk at the foot of the Sas Rigais until you finally reach the Geisler Alm (1996m) via the 34 path. After a comfortable break, the descent by a toboggan (for a fee) or by foot (by arrangement) follows via the 34 path to Ranui (1350m). Here the cab is already waiting to take us back to Lajen. -- Jita cun la ciaspes sun Sëurasas -- Snowshoeing provides an unforgettable experience away from lifts and slopes, in a pure and natural landscape. After reaching the starting point Cristauta car park by bus, the ascent to the peaceful and unspoilt Alpe Sëurasas starts. If you are not yet tired, you can continue to the summit cross and enjoy the spectacular view.
