How a team of experts is dealing with landslides and floods. Climate change and slope instability are causing hydrogeological disruptions. Thanks to expert teams of geologists, firemen, engineers and rescue volunteers, emergencies are dealt with and the area made safe. We will listen to their experiences during this evening at the hall of the San Cassiano volunteer fire brigade, which will show us their special rescue means and equipment. Blues meets alpine folk Experience a fascinating fusion of Styrian harmonica and violin, presented by the musicians David Frank and Magdalena Oberstaller from South Tyrol. Their musical collaboration creates unique soundscapes that show the diversity of the two different instruments in close. The duo's own compositions reflect a wide range of local styles, while at the same time focussing on secular sounds, free improvisation and rousing melodies. The musical palette ranges from blues, jazz and folk to traditional folk music. On stage, the duo escapes everyday life and takes the audience on a musical journey.

Friday evening: Opening of the village festival, tapping of the barrel with guests of honour from sport & politics. Festivities throughout the village with live bands, DJs and culinary delights. A morning that leaves its mark. Forests throughout South Tyrol have been brought to their knees. Storms, heavy snowfall and the spread of the bark beetle, a small insect that feeds on fir and pine trees, are leading to the death of numerous green areas. A large number of volunteers have taken action to help these forests, which provide shelter for so many animal species and are crucial in reducing the risk of landslides. You will ascend by cable car to the Piz de Plaies area, one of the hardest hit, but also one of the most beautiful and scenic. Eventually we will plant a tree together, as sign and permanent memory of the vacation, but also for our well-being as well as that of the nature surrounding us. Accompanying you will be Pire, a forest ranger and great expert on our forests, who will be able to explain to you all the most particular curiosities. Every contribution, however small, can make the difference!

From the hiking parking lot above Mudler, turning left along the hiking trail to the fork, then along the forest path up steeper to the Lutterkopf. Panoramic view of the Sesto Dolomites, the Peitlerkofel, the Rieserferner group and the Ortler. Following the path down to the Brunnerwiesen meadows and on to the Hochrauthütte hut, known for its unique dishes.
