The beautiful historic center of Castelrotto once again provides the backdrop for the many small stalls that offer gifts, handicrafts, nativity figures, South Tyrolean products, herbs, candles and much more for sale to visitors. With mulled wine and fragrant cookies, homemade "Kastelruther Krapfen" visitors can listen to the Christmas music, escape the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle and experience a few contemplative moments. This year we will pass the time with handicrafts and games for our little visitors, while the adults can comfortably taste a fragrant mulled wine. The magical Sterntaler Christmas Market enchants visitors during the weekends of the Advent season in the town center of Lana with its warm and charming atmosphere. Lovingly decorated stands offer genuine South Tyrolean crafts, along with Christmas specials in the local shops and many other seasonal experiences. Strolling and shopping at the Christmas Market in Lana is particularly cozy and stress-free. During the four Advent weekends, more than 20 stalls offer genuine South Tyrolean artisanal crafts created with passion as unique Christmas gifts. At the culinary stands, visitors will find delicious specialties for every taste: traditional mulled wine, fruity hot apple drinks and soups to warm you up, farmer's bread, stuffed pretzels and Christmas hamburgers are only part of the culinary variety on offer. Atmospheric live music by local bands frames the holiday spirit and hustle and bustle of the market, and young visitors can have fun with pony rides, handicraft workshops and Punch and Judy shows.

The bells are ringing all over the year but never as lovely and comforting as during Christmas. Maybe it’s the special atmosphere or the wonderful memories that let us love the Christmastime, but also the Christmas bells spread the magic – it’s simply the happiest time of the year. Sterzing in the north of Southtyrol is surrounded by the beautiful sound of ringing bells in all its forms and sounds. The hollow and smooth sound of the church bells, or even the friendly bells of local cows and farm animals – every bell has his own importance. Christmas in Sterzing is all about joyful bells with their warming sounds.

The Merano Christmas Market provides a magical atmosphere, with daily concerts, children’s entertainment, local customs and handicrafts. There are other Christmas markets in Merano and Environs too, offering textiles, jewelry, ceramics, glass and wooden objects. Closed on 25th December.

Selva Val Gardena is getting ready for a very special Christmas. The idyllic village of Selva, in the heart of the Dolomites, at the foot of the majestic Sella mountain group, is, at 1550 metres above sea level, the highest town in Val Gardena. From 24 November to 7 January Brixen Tourism presents the light and music show “COLORS. A Homage to Peace”. Also this year the lighting effects will be produced by the French light artists Spectaculaires. Musical highlights will be provided by a children's peace choir, consisting of young singers from all twin towns of Brixen under the direction of conductor Stephen Lloyd. The choir will sing live on the premiere weekend.
