Ski tour for beginners and slightly advanced skiers accompanied by a mountain guide. Descent on skis from the mountain station Grawand to an altitude of around 2,700 meters. From this point you start the ascent in the open terrain, which, depending on the conditions, brings the group to 3,100 m (glacier terrain). After a short rest, a descent in soft powder awaits you. The prepared valley run takes you back to the starting point of the tour to Maso Corto/Kurzras. In the case of bad weather, the tour will start from Maso Corto/Kurzras. Why is music so special to Christmas? The Christmas season has a special sound, it is good for the soul and brings people together. The Val Badia Choir and Orchestra will present works by Diabelli and Corelli during this concert, creating a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Local ski schools and their teachers will direct the whole show and present something new again this year. The spectacular jumps are accompanied by a moderator and music. You don't even notice the cold in this unique atmosphere. Then there is also mulled wine, which helps to warm up.

The world's cross-country skiing elite will once again be guests in Dobbiaco - together we will celebrate the turn of the year. From 30 December to 1 January 2024, the best cross-country skiers in the world will be competing for prestigious World Cup points in the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco. The Coop Fis Tour de Ski performance by Le Gruyère AOP 2023/2024 will open like fireworks on 30 December 2023 with a sprint in the free technique. The classic individual race will take place on 31 December and the crowning glory will be the pursuit race , with a new unique course overlooking the Three Peaks on 1 January 2024. Stay tuned.

The apple - as juice, refined with cinnamon stick, cloves and a little orange peel - becomes a popular drink in this cold season: Apple Glühmix. Our apple ambassador and sommelière Anja might tell you the recipe for it. But before that, take a walk through the winter apple meadows. What does the farmer do in winter? Where are the harvested apples stored? What does the frost irrigation do in spring? And above all, what does the South Tyrolean apple taste like? Anja accompanies you and expertly answers your questions. (only in italian or german language)

At this nature workshop, children are inspired to create small works of art from natural materials such as pine cones, stones and nuts.

TOBOGGANING Tobogganing on the lighted tobogganing trail Rudi 4.0 and (with sufficient snowfall) RudiRun 9.0 and the toboggan hike to the Rossalm offer an unforgettable experience in the evening. ATTENTION: The toboggan runs close at 10:30 pm. HIKING Enjoy the special atmosphere of the night on the winter hiking trail to Rossalm mountain hut. Walking time: approx. 60 minutes. Enjoy the charme of a toboggan run by night! The Rosskopf mountain huts open their doors to a wild-romantic evening and to a very adventurous downhill on the longest illuminated and artificial snow covered sled-trail of South Tyrol and Italy. Every Friday the Rosskopf cable car at Sterzing / Vipiteno will bring you to the start of the run between 7 pm and 10 pm. The toboggan run is illuminated until midnight.

At first hike through the light forests crossing the piste to Lago dell’Orso. Then, crossing the magnificent mountain woods to the panoramic summit of Colesei at 1972 m. Sensational views of the deep rock towers of the eastern Sesto Dolomites. Return to the starting point along the ascent route with some variants. This winter, the legendary Oberholz will finally be accessible in the evening. On selected Fridays you can enjoy the unforgettable view with an aperitivo lungo. Group ascent with the Schnalstal Valley Glacier Cable Car to 3,200 metres. We’ll cross the Hochjochferner accompanied by a mountain guide, experience the glacier in all its beauty, and learn many interesting and historical things. At the end of the glacier there is an ice cave at 2,800 m. After exploring the cave and taking a rest in this solitary alpine world, the path continues to the Schöne Aussicht Refuge and afterwards we descend to the Teufelsegghütte Mountain Hut. Greg Gorman is known for his breathtaking and unforgettable images. Over the past 50 years, the photographer has amassed a seemingly endless, impressive and unmistakable life's work, which stands for the finest portrait and star photography. His secret: the masterful use of light and the unrestricted concentration on his subject. The exhibition not only presents Gorman's icons, but also provides a good overview of his brilliant portrait photography. From Hollywood stars to artists and famous musicians: His portraits are milestones of contemporary photography. Last but not least, there are other artistic delicacies by Irma Hölzl, Sabrina Ferrari, Jacopo Mandich, Vitalino Marchetto, Giorgio Butini, Emmerich Holzknecht and Sylvie Blum. Today, woodcarving extends from sacral to contemporary art. From the cultivation of fodder to the rearing of calves, to livestock farming with dairy products and their refinement into tasty yoghurt, butter and cheese. Even the energy is generated directly on the farm. In the barn and the cheese dairy, visitors can take a tour and learn about the process from milk to cheese. The snow is transformed and comes to life through the snow sculpture competition in Selva di Val Gardena. This competition, now in its 27th edition, is an adventure in creativity and originality, where participants challenge themselves by working with a fascinating and intricate medium. The result? Perfect and evocative works that seem to come to life. This competition has now become a tradition, having started in the early '90s. Sculptors and artists, mainly from the valley, who typically work with wood, enjoy three days of creating their giant-sized figures in icy snow. It's a spectacle that you can admire for hours, always discovering new details meticulously carved by the sculptors. This year, the theme of the competition focuses on the lives of farmers and their work, promising to sculpt a fascinating picture of this important aspect of culture. The winners of the snow sculpture competition will be chosen by an expert jury. In addition, a People's Choice Award will be awarded separately. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 30 December 2023 at 4 p.m. on the municipal meadow.
