    Sciliar d’Autore 2025 - First Edition Authors share the stories behind their writing, engaging with the audience’s questions and comments. The majestic beauty of the Schlern, its Euringer and Santner peaks, and the ruins of Oswald von Wolkenstein’s castle provide the backdrop for voices and dialogues inspired by pages and words. "Onesto" (A novel of Mountains and Mystery; Bompiani, 2025) The writer Francesco VIDOTTO presents the story of “Onesto” (published by Bompiani). Guido Contin, known as Cognac, is old and owns nothing but a mysterious folder filled with letters addressed to the peaks of the mountains. These handwritten pages belong to a man who signs as Onesto and tells the dramatic story of his life: his relationship with his twin brother Santo, his encounter with Celeste, war, death, and an unspoken love. In the end, the reader is in for a surprising revelation: “Sometimes, to find freedom, one must first lose it.” Free admission The event is held in Italian.

    Guided hiking tour "Haslhof-Göflaner Alm-Tarnell"

    We start at the Haslhof farm above Göflan and hike on leisurely paths through meadows and forests, past the coal fields to the Göflaner Alm, where we stop for a bite to eat. Covelano marble is quarried above this mountain pasture. We then descend to the village of Tarnell above Laas. The bus picks us up again there. The famous Lasa marble, which comes from the same mountain as the Covelano marble, is processed in Lasa. Elevation gain: Uphill 300 metres, downhill 470 metres Total walking time: approx. 3 hours Difficulty: moderately difficult hike

    On the tracks of the biathlon elite: Come and experience the excitement of this large sports venue that has already hosted numerous international competitions. Take a closer look at the technical and functional rooms, the entire administration building and the spectator stands in more detail. We tell you exciting stories and give you interesting facts about the Südtirol Arena and not to be missed: we will also take a look at Antholz 2026. A film about biathlon rounds off your knowledge of the sport. Finally you can feel like an elite Biathlete and try out biathlon shooting: put your marksmanship to the test with five shots. Guided tours of the biathlon stadium including biathlon shooting at realistic small-bore conditions are scheduled twice a week from June to October in German and Italian language. Participants: min. 6 person (limited number of participants!)

Through stories from the members of the San Cassiano fire brigade, you will learn about their activities throughout the year and the challenges firefighters face every day, from rescue operations to fire-fighting and civil protection interventions (in Italian language). A unique experience for both young and old, focused on discovery and respect for these modern heroes! Participation in the activity is free, but registration online or in our tourist offices is required.     From Vernuer/Vernurio to the rustic mountain hut Obisellalm

    We take the bus to the Öbersthöfe in Vernuer/Vernurio. The hike leads us along trail no. 5 to the alpine hut Obisellalm and the natural mountain lake Obisellsee. With hiking guide Marlene, we continue along trail no. 21 to the Hahnenkammhütte hut, offering a wonderful panoramic view over the Merano basin. We return to the starting point via a beautiful forest path. Walking time: approx. 5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 880 m The hike will be in German and Italian.

Some nights under the starry sky, but also encounters with wild animals, small insects or flowers are always something special for me and I am grateful to be able to experience such moments,” he says with conviction.     Sunrise hike on the Rosskopf with breakfast at the mountain

    This summer, visitors to the Rosskopf can look forward to an extraordinary highlight: the Sunrise Concerts with Mountain Breakfast at the Wishing Bell. In the magical atmosphere of the early morning, guests can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the Stubai Alps. The adventure begins with an early morning gondola ride from Sterzing up to 1,860 meters above sea level. From there, participants embark on a guided hike, covering the final 350 meters of elevation to reach the Köpfl summit, where they witness the sun rising over the Zillertal Alps and the Dolomites. At the Wunschglocke, the Sunrise Concert welcomes the first rays of the new day, creating an enchanting atmosphere. To top off the experience, a regional mountain breakfast is served at 2,120 meters, making it an unforgettable morning in the Alps. A true moment of enjoyment, whether alone or with loved ones – unforgettable moments!
