Biennale Gherdëina 9: Film Program Screening Program Curated by Lorenzo Giusti, Alice Labor, Marta Papini Biennale Gherdëina and the MUSE – Museum of Sciences in Trento collaborate to create a series of screenings of artist films that expand the perspectives of the biennial by offering alternative narratives and interspecies alliances, moving beyond the categories of animate and inanimate, organic and inorganic, human and animal. The trail leads you from the Jenesiener Jöchl Alm to the Möltner Kaser up to the Stoanernen Mandlen. The guided hike starts with an initial overview of the special features of the Bletterbach gorge at the Aldein visitor centre. Scientists have found valuable plant fossils and impressive dinosaur tracks in these layers - and with a bit of luck, the GEOPARC guide will be able to show the group some of the finds on the spot. At the Bergler Harass picnic in Tiers am Rosengarten, nature lovers can savour a range of hearty farmers’ fare with a view over the legendary Dolomites (UNESCO World Heritage). The picnic will take place on June 2nd at the Wuhnleger, an Alpine meadow with a small lake whose waters reflect the Rosengarten. A wooden crate (namend harass in german dialect) will serve as a picnic basket, jam-packed with traditional products from Tiers, including sheep’s cheese, venison salami, Tiers bread, butter, milk, raspberry juice and doughnuts. You pay for what you choose as content. The participants can enjoy the afternoon sitting on a blanket down the shady larchs. Musical entertainment will round off this sociable afternoon to perfection. Registration is not required.

Traditional Alpine folk music: reinterpreted by emerging South Tyrolean artists! On the majestic Nörderberg Mountain in Naturno/Naturns, the Alpine mountain hut season kicks off with a new music festival showcasing upcoming South Tyrolean talent, reinterpreting traditional Alpine folk songs. Throughout the day, four different groups are scheduled to perform at four mountain huts on the Nörderberg.

On 2 June at 8 pm, Riffian's education committee and the Tourist Office Passeiertal Valley invites you to a concert with Mathias Johannes Schmidhammer in the house of culture. Under the motto "Music from Vienna", the versatile pianist, composer and music teacher presents the facets of his adopted home. Mathias, who was born in Riffian/Rifiano and has lived in Vienna for 13 years, is also active in South Tyrol. He has received several awards and gives a special concert in Riffian once a year.
