The Lana Men's Choral Society invites you to the spring concert at the Ansitz Rosengarten Lana, 6.00 pm

Art/hiking and ornithological guided tour on the sculpture trail in Lana. Walking as perception, man and nature in constant interaction. The cultural project consists of a guided walk along the sculpture trail to the biotope. We talk about sculptures, birds and much more. Duration: 2.5 hours. Music for the little ones! We want to bring children closer to classical music from their earliest months, helping them to discover naturally a mysterious world that actually belongs to us from birth. We have devised a season of performances to be enjoyed in the company of the whole family: from opera to interactive concerts, the stage will become an intimate, playful and welcoming space, ready to accompany us on curious musical explorations.

After reaching this marvelous plateau, the chairlift takes the group to the quiet and peaceful Mont Sëura alpine pasture. From the top station of the chairlift, a slightly uphill path leads to the Ciaulonch saddle. Afterwards, a slightly downhill path meets the Santner trail, which finally reaches the Rifugio Vicenza at 2,253 m - surrounded by the fascinating mountain scenery of the Sassolungo. The descent is via the long pastures of Plan de Cunfin back to Monte Pana. _____ Meeting point: Tourist Office S. -- Jita te Puez -- The hike through the Nature Park Puez-Odle with the Catores guides starts at the top station of the Dantercepies cable car – a terrace with an amazing view of the Passo Gardena and the Sella massif. Following the path, you get to the Cir and the Crespëina Pass. The hike continues on a barren plateau, passing the Crespëina lake until reaching the Rifugio Puez. The splendid descent back to Selva di Val Gardena leads you through the marvelous Vallunga with the picturesque S. 6th edition of the running around the Sassolungo Group. The Saslong Half Marathon is a challenging trail run in the Dolomites. The challenging trail starts and ends at Monte Pana and leads over rocks and boulders through 5 municipalities around the Sassolungo group.

The Lana Music Association invites you to a special concert evening on Saturday, 8 June 2024 at 8.30 pm, framed by the picturesque backdrop of the time-honoured walls of Braunsberg Castle. Harmonious melodic pieces adorn the surroundings, which in combination with the atmosphere of the castle provide a musically unique experience. The castle concert will be postponed in case of bad weather.

The Musikkapelle Sexten cordially invites guests and locals to a machring concert starting from the parking area Hofer and will arrive at the Centre of Sexten.

On Saturday, June 8th, there will be an event dedicated to cycling and the sports activities of the "Ritten Sport ASV" Association on the Sunny plateau Ritten. It's called "Ritten by Bike," and it's the first time an event like this is being held to promote the use of bicycles as a daily means of transportation. You can ride along the new bike path from Klobenstein to Wolfsgruben, with various stations along the way and the opportunity to participate in a lottery with wonderful prizes. Start at the Klobenstein Civil Defense Center between 9-12 a.m. Start in Wolfsgruben between 9-12 a.m. Arrival at the finish/Ritten Arena and handing in of participation card possible between 9.30-13.30. prize-giving: 2 p.m. Parking facilities - for those arriving by car in Klobenstein/at Ritten Arena.

30. International volleyball-mixed tournament in the sports zone of Lana di Sotto/Niederlana. In June it is time again for Lana's mixed volleyball tournament, the biggest throughout the Alps. There will be 120 teams from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland in this three-day competition. The event is rung in by a traditional opening concert that will take place the evening before the tournament. When the competitive part of the event has started all teams in the group stage, consisting of 3 men and 3 women each, will compete against each other on a total of 20 courts. The final stage and the grand final will be played the next day in the Lana Sportzone. The mixed volleyball tournament in Lana is a huge sporting highlight for all volleyball enthusiasts from South Tyrol and abroad. That is why we expect about 2000 athletes and visitors from all over Europe to arrive for this three-day event.

Do you love cycling and the Dolomites? Then you should not miss the Sellaronda Bike Day, the day when the roads of the famous Sellaronda are closed to motorized traffic and reserved for cyclists, from 8.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. in June and from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. in September. It is the perfect occasion to ride the Dolomites passes Gardena, Sella, Pordoi and Campolongo without noise and vehicle pollution. To take part you do not need to register and you can organize the day according to your wishes and abilities, whether as a sporting challenge or an excursion on two wheels. Join in, participate with friends or family and enjoy riding the unique Dolomite roads admiring the landscapes along the route. The entire tour is 53 km long and has a total difference in altitude of 1600 m, but everyone can drive as long as they want. It is recommended to cycle anticlockwise! During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

All four Dolomite passes around the Sella massif (Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and passo Sella) are closed from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. to motor vehicles on this day, leaving the roads entirely free to cyclists. A unique chance to enjoy the freedom of these Alpine roads on your bicycle. Participation is open to everybody and completely free of charge. Start is at the Nives Square in Selva Val Gardena.

Many areas of the Dolomites are in the process of setting up projects to enhance the historical testimony of the Great War. Sesto di Pusteria was both victim and protagonist of this tragedy. Sesto di Pusteria is the only place of Germanic language and culture belonging to the Austro-Hungarian Empire to find itself at the front line, undergoing forced evacuation and displacement, and then, together with other places of the South Tyrol, being annexed to Italy. This chance set of events makes Sesto an emblematic place to tell the history of this period, not only for the Tyrolean citizens of today but for all the inhabitants of Europe. The vicissitudes of the civilian population and of the soldiers during this extremely important moment in history have so far surprisingly been neglected, undoubtedly because of the upheaval following the end of the war and annexation to Italy. Given the considerable interest in the First World War that is now emerging in Europe, Sesto has unique and inestimable contribution to make. The Associazione Bellum Aquilarum (Bellum Aquilarum historical association) aims to save from oblivion the surviving testimony to this tragedy in order to preserve it so that it can be handed down to future generations, not only to the young people of Pusteria, but also to those living in places once belonging to the former Austro-Hungarian Empire that were the scenes of battle here. The tragedy experienced so deeply at Sesto and in Pusteria is askin to that of many other areas of Europe which were on the front line or which, after the war, witnessed the havoc brougth on by territorial annexation. The ensuing cultural, historical and political schism was immense; without doubt, these events changed Pusteria but also Europe itself, and today - in a European perspective enabling the age-old tensions issuing from the war to be overcome - preserving these memories can aid us in the construction of our common future.

Every year on Sacred Heart Sunday, the traditional and fascinating mountain fires light up anew on the mountains. In the Val Casies Valley you can see the wonderful fires (Christian symbols in the form of crosses, hearts, lettering, beacons along the mountain ranges) from the valley, and the beautiful house lighting with artistic window paintings and illuminated signs at the old farmsteads are also worth marvelling at.

On June 6, 2024 the cable car Kronplatz 2000 is open for a very special night - the "Sacred Heart Night" at the summit of Kronplatz.
Be there and experience a beautiful view of the adjacent mountain world during a picturesque sunset over the main ridge of the Alps and the Dolomites. Once the sun has set, a spectacular spectacle awaits you: fires of the Sacred Heart are lit on the surrounding peaks, illuminating the sky over the whole South Tyrol and giving it a magical atmosphere.
Lighting fires around the summer solstice has its origins in ancient times. The custom of solstice and St. John's fires has been documented since the 12th century. In the 18th century, however, the custom was reinterpreted: in 1796, the Tyrolean estates vowed to entrust the land to the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" to counter the imminent danger posed by Napoleon's invasion. Since then, this promise has been commemorated every year by lighting fires.
But this is not all: those interested in culture have the opportunity to visit the two museums at Kronplatz. Both the MMM Corones and the LUMEN Museum open their doors on this evening.
In short, the "Sacred Heart Night" at Kronplatz is an unforgettable experience for everyone who wants to experience South Tyrolean tradition up close. We are looking forward to your visit!
