    We start in the beautiful mountain village of Pfelders in Val Passiria/Passeiertal and hike on a somewhat steep path over serpentines to the rustic Schneidalm (approx. 1 ½ hours), always with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. We spend our lunch break here and enjoy the peace and quiet. We then hike along the Lazinser Steig into the valley and descend comfortably to Lazins and back to the starting point via Zeppichl. Altitude: approx. 540 m Walking time: 3.5-4 hours Difficulty: difficult

    Concert evening: Joe Smith Sax’n Brass & the art of storytelling

    Music & Stories: joyful, vibrant, daring in the Lengmoos Commandery at 8.30 p.m. Entrance € 15, RittenCard € 12, student € 5. Four musicians meet a storyteller. The result is a joyful, vibrant, and daring blend of music and narrative. The program includes works by old masters, jazz, swing, blues, and a few surprises. The Brass’n Sax ensemble is made up mainly of musicians from the Joe Smith Band, led by Peppi Haller, also known as Joe Smith. Chris Haller enchants on saxophone, Walter Plank shines on trumpet, Peppi Haller sings on trombone, and Toni Pichler grooves on tuba.     Concert by Bozen Brass
    Sëlva/Selva, Dolomites Region Val Gardena
    Bozen Brass is an extraordinary brass sextet which does not fit into any traditional patterns. They six musicians from South Tyrol are curiously different and always ready for a surprise. Benjamin Premstaller (french horn), Martin Psaier (trombone), Robert Neumair (trumpet, other instruments and all arrangements), Michael Engl (tuba), Manuel Goller (trumpet) and Anton Ludwig Wilhalm (trumpet) are the members of Bozen Brass and they are ready to take off to new dimensions. Solid musical education in national and international universities combined with practice in international orchestras and ensembles form the basis for their activities. They are a labour of love for music and enthusiastic musicians and they are keen to pass these virtues to their music pupils. That is why they are able to produce the finest sounds with their brass instruments. The audience is invited to follow them on a powerful journey through the musical history covering all kinds of musical styles.

    10th Lorenzi night at the Knottnkino

    Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars flit across the night sky. From 11 to 147th of August, the so-called "Perseids" reach their peak this year. This is also the case on Tuesday, 12th August and the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran is the ideal place to keep an eye out for the "lucky charms". Bring a picnic blanket, listen to pleasant sounds and enjoy some tasty snacks ... Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers "Max Valier" will also be there, with telescopes and interesting stories to tell about the night sky. Photographs and videos may be taken at the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area.
