For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 5th and Friday 6th 2024, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.

What matters for the half marathon Tru di Pra is not the speed, but the beauty of the route along the meadows of Rit and Armentara. Throughout the day you will be able to enjoy not only the breathtaking views, but also the local products available at the refreshment points. On arrival, after a day full of emotions created by so many steps one after the other, you can enjoy a fresh salad with seasonal fruits prepared by the farmers of La Val. The Termeno Band invites you to the autumn concert with a wide repertoire of classical and modern in Termeno's town hall square. You can listen to popular music and experience traditions. Start at 20:30.

The traditional monthly market is held on the market square from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.

The famouse mountain run from Sesto to the Rifugio Locatelli on Saturday 14 of September will take place for the 27th time. The original route takes the maximum of 1000 participants over 17 kilometres with an elevation profile of 1333 metres on perfectly signed paths from Sesto through the stunning mountains of the Sesto Dolomites to the finish at the Rifugio Antonio Locatelli, just below the three impressive peaks that are known all over the world.

Every year in September, the traditional Gsieser Almhüttenfest (Val Casies Mountain Pasture Festival) takes place in the Val Casies Valley, a highlight that attracts many hiking enthusiasts every year. The festival takes place alternately in the villages of Colle, S. Martino or S. Maddalena to give the many visitors the opportunity to get to know the numerous alpine pastures and the mountain world of the Val Casies Valley. The festival begins at 10.30 am. with a Holy Mass. In the characteristic alpine huts, various local dishes are served. Rustic folk music & children programme. A unique and unforgettable celebration to end the summer.

The brothers Ulrich and Otto Messner, better known as Vincent & Fernando, will make hit-song-lovers' hearts beat faster. Their charisma and professionalism is shared with a great passion for music, which has brought them the "Bergkristall".

Get up bright and early to enjoy the peace of morning while out hiking. What could be better than enjoying the peace and quiet of morning in the mountains? During the guided hike from Tiers to the Völsegg Peak, a breathtaking view of the Dolomites awaits you. In the family-run Tschafon mountain refuge between the the imposing Schlern Massif and the legendary Rosengarten Massif you will enjoy a special mountaineer breakfast featuring quality products from South Tyrol. In the late morning the hiking guide will take you back to Tiers. If you want to stay a little longer, you can relax on a blanket in the extensive meadow. DURATION OF THE HIKE (WITHOUT REST) 2:15 h to Völsegg Peak (4,1 km; 638 m uphill), 15 min from Völsegg Peak to Tschafon mountain refuge (0,8 km; 102 m downhill), 2:50 h from Tschafon mountain refuge passing Schönblick back to Tiers (8,5 km; 749 m downhill)

The return of the herds from summer pastures in the Tel high mountain valley is appropriately celebrated at the Nasereit Alpine shelter, in accordance with the old farming tradition.

At the popular "Vieh- & Kramermärkte" you can find tasty and useful things. Four times a year, market stalls with local delicacies, everyday necessities and clothing await visitors.

The autumn custom of Törggelen has a centuries-old tradition in South Tyrol. After the successful harvest in autumn, the farmers of the area met and celebrated with new wine, cabbage and smoked meat, doughnuts and chestnuts. To this day, Törggelen is considered by South Tyroleans to be an expression of conviviality and joie de vivre. Traditional Törggelen at the village fountain in the center of Naturno from 14.30 - 17.30 with roasted chestnuts, new wine and music. In October a flea market takes place at the same time at the town hall square from 9 am - 5 pm.

Autumn days in Tramin …enjoy the golden autumn! The South Tyrolean Wine road changes into a colourful sea of vineyards and orchards. The farmers are in their heyday and the harvest gets taken in. Soon the barrels will be full, the fermentation of the popular juice from the grapes doesn’t take long to begin. Now the “Neue” new wine can be sampled, the most important moment of the year for the farmers. And celebrated it will be. How the new wine tastes – that will be found out by the people of Tramin and its guests during the traditional Autumn Days Tramin at the latest, which are always at the end of October. People of all age groups meet at the festival area that is richly decorated with lots of harvest products for a joyful festival. The “Neue” new wine and wines from Tramin get sampled; and along with this there are hearty South Tyrolean specialities. And all of the colourful shenanigans at the festival area are accompanied by the colourful and melodious performances of folk music groups. Free bus shuttle from Kaltern, St. Josef am See.

Guided bike tour from Termeno to Lake Caldaro with a professional bike guide. You make a stop at a farmhouse and taste some homemade products, enjoy a Capuccino or an icecream near the lake and a glass of wine in the middle of a vineyard presented by a farmer. Reservation within 11.30 am at the tourist offic of Tramin. Helmet obbligation!

Traditional transhumance with entertainment and folk music. Back home, this is the ideal reference for livestock, including cows, horses, sheep and goats after a summer spent on the Alpe di Siusi returning to their stables. The transhumance accompanied by a celebration takes place on the Saturday just before the feast of the harvest. This year the event takes place on 5th October 2024. Accompanied by bells and wreaths the animals inhabit the area of Compaccio at 10am. The colourful herd consisting of 250 animals, some carts and some classic-style tractors will leave the Alpe di Siusi at this very time. The transhumance will be accompanied by a feast: a famers' and artisans' market are part of this special event.

Two-day festival in St. Magdalena with traditional farmers' market around the topic Speck, culinary delicacies such as speck, farmer's bread and "tirtlen" and musical entertainment.

Whether traditional marches and polkas, classic overtures or modern pieces of music, the Musikkapelle is a genuine listening experience for young and old! Beginning: 10.00 a.m. at the garden of the house of community.

Connoisseurs and friends of South Tyrolean cuisine should not miss the Törggelefest! Traditional dishes, roasted chestnuts and new wine, as well as musical entertainment with the Salten Oberkrainer (10.30 am - 3 pm) and Jason Nussbaumer (3 pm - 4.30 pm) on the town hall square in Naturno. Start 10.30 am. Admission free! In case of bad weather the event is canceled.

Festivity "Törggelefest" with roasted chestnuts, home-made wines, South Tyrolean 'Marende' and music in the nostalgic garden of the Gaudententurm residence and, last but not least, guided tours through the distillery!

As part of the anniversary celebration 150 years of South Tyrolean Haflingers, numerous events will take place, including a large Haflinger country show and a world congress. Further details and information will be announced in due course.

On local soil, fans of the "Kastelruther Spatzen" have the opportunity to be truly enchanted. The Schlern area, home of the popular "Kastelruther Spatzen", is transformed into a festival area. The "heroes of folk music" provide - surrounded by a unique backdrop of the Dolomites - for mood at the traditional festival of the "Kastelruther Spatzen". A big parking area and an enormous festival tent are built up to celebrate with the "Kastelruther Spatzen" for three days of morning pint, autograph sessions and nice evenings. Also the songs of the Spatzen sound nowhere so well as at home in Kastelruth. The music band of Villnöss valley, invites you to the ball "Schnauzerball" in St. Peter. Wine Lane Termeno/Tramin in the historic centre. Enjoy a glass of wine, a few typical dishes, music and folklore. From early afternoon till late at night the famous "Traminer Weingassl" or Wine Alleyway will be scene of exciting adventures which, for a few hours at least, will take you far from your daily routine and offer you a special evening in the magnificent autumn detting, along the Wine Road. The celebrations of the "Wine Alleyway", in the heart of the historic centre of Termeno which is open only to pedestrians, is an appointment not to be missed: the best Traminer wines will be offered in cups made for this very occasion along with special South Tyrolean delicacies in an atmosphere of music and folklore.

The traditional "Erntedank"-procession will be accompanied by the Musikkapelle Partschins Band and after they will give a short concert. Beginning: ca 10.30 a.m. at the church square of Parcines.

The farmers’ festival at Teis, which will take place on 20th October 2024, is one of South Tyrol’s most traditional festivals and a true journey of discovery through the crafts and customs of the Villnöss valley. On the festival, you’ll learn how to do old farm crafts such as baking bread, weaving baskets and hats, felting, carving and pottery. Freshly prepared, rustic specialties are also served, while musical groups play in the charming village lanes. Beginning at 10.00 am.
