Veni, veni o oriens The first candle burns Choir Society St. Pauls Josef Höhn | Organ Peter Marsoner | Direction Parish church Niederlana, 6.00 pm. Choral singing has been heard in St. Pauls for centuries. The extensive choir archives bear witness to this, even though much was cast aside as "unworthy" during the era of Cecilianism. The repertoire ranges from Gregorian chorales to the timbres of the modern age, singers follow the facial expressions and hand signals of the respective choirmasters and frame the liturgical celebrations from Christ the King to 1 Advent.

On our commemorative hike, we follow the traces of the flight of 1947, crossing the Krimmler Tauern and hiking to Kasern in South Tyrol/Alto Adige. The hike leads through high alpine terrain up to an altitude of 2,634 m. The pure walking time is approx. 8 hours. Appropriate physical condition, weather protection, drinksand snacks are required! Alternatively, two shorter variants are possible, which are less strenuous and turn round and go back the same way before crossing the pass. Please note that you have to decide on one of the options when registering and that no last-minute changes are possible, as we have to plan the respective transfers with taxis and buses in advance.

We are deeply attached to our Ladin traditions and we would like to give them as much value as we can. That is why we want to introduce you to our traditional music. And where better than in a mountain hut? The majestic peaks of the Dolomites will be the backdrop for the concert of the alphorn trio Cors da munt Sassongher. Summer Classics: Classic concert with the "SAGS Quartet" in the Culture House in Seis am Schlern. The four musicians Sonja Wallnöfer, Greta Franzelin, Sonja Oberkofler and Alex Designori came together through their shared South Tyrolean origins and energetic passion for chamber music. The four saxophonists completed their musical training in various places in Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The ensemble has been sharing its passion for music with audiences since 2020. The "SAGS Quartet" has already performed at various concert halls and festivals, including the Brucknerhaus Linz, the Alpen Classica Festival and the Kulturverein Musik & Kirche. The ensemble's repertoire includes original works and arrangements of classical and contemporary music, reflecting the broad spectrum of tonal facets of the saxophone. The ensemble's creativity and constant curiosity for other art forms helps the quartet to constantly come up with new ideas and ultimately interdisciplinary collaborations and performances. In this way, the "SAGS Quartet" gains a foothold in the world of music theatre, but also explores the fusion of literature and music. This joy of experimentation is uniquely reflected in the concert programmes. The four saxophonists have made a name for themselves not only as musicians who perform, but also as educators. In this respect, the young audience, the listeners of tomorrow, are very important to the ensemble. With their music education programme, they visit primary and secondary schools with the aim of introducing young audiences to the world of classical saxophone.

The pleasant circular hike starts at the large parking lot Saltnerstein and includes a visit at the mountain pine show distillery at the Marzuner Schupfe. Nature park Schlern | Sciliar - Rosengarten | Catinaccio: "Multivision-Show " with Valentin Pardeller in german/italian language! The Schlern | Sciliar looks like a huge monolith in front of which the two peaks Santner and Euringer rise into the sky - this image has become the symbol of South Tyrol. The Rosengarten | Catinaccio, on the other hand, presents itself as a seemingly endless sequence of pointed needles and towers; numerous legends and myths surround this rock massif. In this multivision presentation, Valentin Pardeller shows breathtaking images and time-lapse photographs of the spectacular light moods on the Rosengarten, tells you in his authentic, lively way about his experiences photographing golden eagles and chamois, and takes you into the realm of legend of the dwarf king Laurin.
