Streams, rivers and mountain lakes make South Tyrol an attractive region for angling and fishing. The majority of the waters are inhabited by trout. While locals in South Tyrol require a fishing licence and a fishing certification, guests are permitted to purchase the necessary licence while on holiday. This is valid for ten years.
