Numerous fish live in the mountain lake next to the Edelweisshütte in Ladurns. Fishing equipment can be borrowed at the Edelweisshütte.

The pasture Aglsbodenalm at the end of the Ridnauntal valley offers a very special fishing opportunity: Launch your fishing rod in the on-site mountain lake, enjoy the quiet, and let the sun shine on your face. And then, the host of the hut can cook the catch of the day!

The Lago Gioveretto is an artificial lake in the Ortler Alps in South Tyrol. The reservoir has an area of 70ha, situated at an altitude of 1850m in Val Martello and is crossed by the river Plima. The storage capacity is 19.6million cubic meters. The reservoir is situated in the Stelvio National Park and is used for generation of energy. The associated hydroelectric power station is located in Lasa.
From June to September you are allowed to fish with a state licence. You can buy the ticket at the keeper of the dam.
Fishing becomes a precious experience for families at the idyllically located fish pond in Antholz Niedertal. No fishing certification is required
The fishing equipment can be rented directly at the fish pond itself. A playground and a bar with terrace can be found there as well.
It is only possible to fish from the daybreak till the twilight.
In the rivers of Pustertal Etsch, Eisack, Rienz and Ahr live 35 several fish types. But also in barrier lakes, ponds and mountain lakes you can have a magnificent feeling of fishing a trout. To protect the type of fish you have to hold the closed seasons and the maximum. There are several places where you can get a day ticket and some information about fishing in the place.

Trout fishing on Rio Gardena: day tickets are available at the Val Gardena Tourist Offices. Guests from abroad who possess a foreign angling permit can purchase a local angling permit (validity 10 years) at the Tourist Office S.Cristina.

In order to fish in Italy or South Tyrol, you first need to buy an Italian fishing licence. This costs 40 Euros (identity card or passport is necessary) and is valid for 10 years in the whole of South Tyrol and Italy.
In addition to the licence, you also need a day ticket. For the stretch of water from Quellenhof to St. Leonhard, the cost is 50 Euros or 70 Euros per day. The day tickets can be obtained at the Tourist Office of St. Leonhard and St. Martin.
It is not allowed to take „marble trouts”.

The Fishing Sports Club Bruneck/Brunico was founded in 1963. The sport-fishing area is one of the most well known fishing areas in the whole valley and a lovely meeting place for sport fishers during the summertime.
Fishing at the Huber Weiher pond. Those who come to Völs am Schlern to fish need go no further than Lake Huber. You can catch trout, carp and char here.
You can buy the day ticket (price 22,00€) directly at the parking lot at the Völser Weiher Lake, a license for fishing is not necessary for the Huber Weiher pond.
The period of fishing is from april to october.
Everybody comes onto his expense in the sports & leisure centre Trattla. And quiet seeker is the fisherman pond in the heart of the national park Stelvio, the perfect attempt point for families. The fisherman equipment can be lent without problems in the near situated restaurant Trattla.
