The exhibition “Garejedes de schi te Gherdëina” presents the history of ski races in Val Gardena through archival photos and documents. From 13 December 2025 to 15 January 2026 at the Tublà da Nives, Selva di Val Gardena.

The Mooswald circuit in St. Magdalena is illuminated daily from dusk and open until 9:00 pm. Constant lighting, clear winter air, and the special evening mood of the Gsiesertal Valley allow for relaxed cross-country skiing after sunset and make the loop an attractive option for training or leisurely skiing in the evening.

We start at 8 am with our fluffy animals at the Bacherhof farm in Mölten and hike on trail no. 13 away from the noise and hustle and bustle through the forest to the Schlaneiderhof bistro. There we enjoy a regional breakfast. Afterwards we return to the Bacherhof.

We start with our fluffy and curious animals at 10 am at the Bacherhof in Mölten and hike through the forest without noise and hustle and bustle on trail no. 13 towards Schlaneid.
Once we arrive at the Schlaneid playground, we take a short break. We then hike back the same way to the Bacherhof.

Panoramic trekking
We start with our fluffy and curious animals at 10 am at the Bacherhof in Mölten. We hike without noise and hectic through the forest to Ortisei, descend to Schlaneid and then hike back to the Bacherhof.

This winter, we are excited to once again offer an exclusive ice skating course in collaboration with the talented figure skater Sara Furlan. With her many years of experience and passion for the sport, Sara will inspire you with the fun and beauty of ice skating.

The courses are divided by age groups:

Children aged 3–5: 16:00–17:00
Children aged 6 and older: 17:00–18:00

Sara recommends attending all the sessions to get the most out of the training. However, if you can only attend a single session, that is also possible.

Christmas Celebration on December 20th:

As a special highlight, Sara invites you to a small Christmas celebration on December 20th at 4.30PM. The children will have the opportunity to show their parents what they’ve learned. Afterwards, we will enjoy a festive drink together at the snack stand.

Val Gardena is a paradise for skiers regardless of their level: newbies and passionate amateur skiers spend their holidays in the valley. However, for a few days a year, the skiing slopes of Dolomites Val Gardena attract the creme de la creme of skiing. And you, as our guests, will have the opportunity of following the skiing stars live from the edge of the slopes as they battle for a place on the podium of the FIS World Cup.

The history of the World Cup in Dolomites Val Gardena goes back to the 1970s. The Saslong slope is one of the most beautiful and well-known stages of the world cup, what with its famous and feared ‘camel hump’ and speeds of up to 100 km an hour. The Ski World Cup took place in 1970 in Dolomites Val Gardena, among other places; on that occasion the whole skiing world set its eyes on the Saslong slope. Women and men took part in dozens and dozens of races on the slope as well as on the region’s other famous slopes: Ronc, Ciampinoi and Cir. Today, a super-G and a men’s downhill race take place in Dolomites Val Gardena once a year.

Local celebrities and international legends fulfilled their dream of one day being the winner of the FIS ski World Cup in Dolomites Val Gardena. Among the winners of the downhill we have known skiers such as Peter Müller, Rob Boyd, Michael Walchhofer and Kristian Ghedina.

Exciting races with international athletes are on the program. Spectators are welcome!

The ice rink opens its doors for public skating on October 26, 2025.

Special opening hours are scheduled during the fall, Christmas and Carnival holidays.

Try out the biathlon feeling, with short introduction and shooting with the smallbore rifle. Anyone can join, with or without skis (children from 12 years).

Since its opening, the ice rink in the centre of Schenna has enjoyed great popularity. Anyone who wants to take to the ice is in exactly the right place in Schenna. The 12x30 metre artificial ice rink offers locals and guests the chance to do their laps on the shiny surface right in the village centre. Skates and helmets can be rented. A food stall offers warming drinks and snacks. Opening hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM The food stall remains open until 8:00 PM Closed on Tuesdays - except from 24.12. to 06.01.

After a short introduction to the sport of cross-country skiing, the beginner's trail leads through the magical winter landscape with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.
Beginners can try out cross-country skiing with cross-country skiing instructor Peter Unterhauser. The course will only take place if at least 2 people register.

ON SILENT SOLES THROUGH THE SNOW-COVERED MOUNTAIN WORLD.
Enjoy the untouched nature and unique views of the surrounding mountain scenery with the majestic "Tribulaun" and the "Weißwandspitze". A short lunch break allows you to stop at a rustic alpine hut in the Ladurns ski area, where you will be spoilt with culinary delicacies. The hike only takes place in optimal snow conditions. In the evening, the snow-covered landscape of wintertime Deutschnofen has a magic all its own. The moon and stars make the snowy slopes sparkle – if the sky is cloudy, we simply bring along some torches to light our way during our romantic nighttime stroll. Meeting place: Always at 6:00 p.m. at the Deutschnofen Tourist Agency. The 4-km-long tour involves 200 meters of altitude differential and takes about two hours. At its conclusion, we can warm up in cheerful surroundings with some mulled wine.

Here you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view – perfect for a souvenir photo at the Viewpoint Mont Sëura. As the sun slowly sets behind the striking peaks of the Dolomites, the Alpenglow bathes the rugged rock faces in glowing shades of red and gold. The spectacular view of this natural wonder will accompany you on the descent back to Monte Pana.
