    Our hut is easily reachable starting from the elementary school in Weißenbach/Rio Bianco (walking time approx. 30 min., suitable for baby strollers), starting from the hut Schnaidaleachn on the exercise path (walking time approx. 45 min.) or starting from the church on the herbs path (walking time approx. 40 min.).

    Discover without car – good connection with the public transport; connecting path to the hut Schwarzbachalm (walking time approx. 1,1/2 h).

    Easy walk on the sunny side of the Ahrntal valley, open all year, ideal destination for families and seniors – with children’s playground and sun-terrace.

    In the cold season a beautiful winter hiking trail leads to our hut.

    Built in 1888 as one of the first mountain huts in Val Gardena. It’s located on the sunny side in the middle of the Nature Park Puez-Odle with a stunning view on the Sassolungo and on the Odle mountains. The Rifugio Firenze was built in 1888 as one of the first mountain huts in Val Gardena by the German-Austrian Alpine Club (DÖAV Regensburg). When in 1921, with the end of the First World War, South Tyrol was given to Italy, the administration of the hut was transferred to the CAI of Florence, which renamed it "Rifugio Firenze". In 2010, after almost 90 years in hands of CAI Florence, the hut was entrusted to the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, which still owns it. Open in summer from 1st June until mid of October
