During the farm tour at Lenkhof, you will learn all sorts of interesting facts about the individual production steps involved in making cheese and other dairy products as well as the history of the farm itself.
Young farmer Georg will guide you through the barn, the processing and maturing rooms and tell you about how his animals are kept.

If you hadn’t realised it before, when the first rays of sun timidly appear on the surrounding peaks you will see just how much it was worth getting up so early. A sunrise mountain tour on the Schlern mountain is a very special experience.
A shuttle bus will take you to the Saltner Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you will arrive at Monte Petz (2,564 m) at around 6:50, in perfect time for the sunrise. After this natural spectacle, a well-earned breakfast awaits you at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge, also known as the “castle in the mountains”.

At the Moarhof farm dairy, farmer Claudia Eder demonstrates how Ahrntal "Graukäse" and "Graukäse ziggolan" were made in the past. Every guest can make ziggolan themselves and then take it home.
Pawigl Bread Time. Experience the old tradition of baking bread on the farm. Where could this happen more authentically than in the Lananer mountain fraction Pawigl, on the southern slope of the Vigiljoch, where the mountain farmers still bake bread on their farms today, from 11.00 am.
Already the event will take place 14 September 2025, focusing on "Pawigl Bread Time".

The time has come, our live cooking show “Glurns Koch” will take place again this year on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The show will be held as a part of the “Palabiratage” in the town hall Glurns . The focus is on South Tyrolean cuisine – above all the “Palabirne”, our local producers, restaurants and the great personalities behind them, who will conjure up culinary delights for you. Market stalls and live music, that creates an atmospheric ambience, will accompany the cooking show. With the following tasting, there is nothing left to desire – we are looking forward to your visit!
When autumn begins in the southern Valle Isarco/Eisacktal, it starts also the so-called Törggele-season. Chiusa/Klausen celebrates the beginning of this ancient tradition with a big festival.
From 19th September to 21st September, the artist's city Chiusa dedicates itself entirely to the traditions of the "Törggelen" and transforms itself into some kind of outdoor tavern.
Through the streets of the town, gastronomic stands offer various South Tyrolean specialties, such as Knödel, Schlutzkrapfen, sausages with sauerkraut (fermented cabbage), doughnuts, Strauben and roasted chestnuts.
A rich selection of white wines from the Valle Isarco completes the culinary offer. The festival has also a colourful entertainment program and a lot of popular music.

“Morning is the golden hour”. Never a truer word was said, as you’ll see when you get to the Rosszahnscharte ridge high above the Seiser Alm and behold the glow of early-morning light over the Dolomites at dawn.
A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast.

Pala pear Sunday concludes the Pala pear days in Glurns. For many years, the event has been organised with great success by the volunteer fire brigade of Glurns. After the Holy Mass and the procession, people meet at the new festival area ‘Glurns Festival’ to celebrate the harvest of the Pala pear.
The return of the herds from summer pastures in the Tel high mountain valley is appropriately celebrated at the Nasereit Alpine shelter, in accordance with the old farming tradition.

From Vinschger Paarlen rye bread and Puschtra Breatlan farmers’ bread to Schüttelbrot flat bread, country-style baked goods have always been an important part of life in Brixen. So it’s no surprise that the old town alone has around ten bakeries, each offering a unique selection of tempting goods. On the first weekend in October each year, Brixen celebrates its baking traditions. Don’t miss this opportunity to sample the scrumptious selection of savoury and sweet creations on offer on the cathedral square.
It is all about the almost extinct Villnösser Brillenschaf sheep. South Tyrol’s oldest sheep breed has a characterizing dark pigmentation around the eyes, and it seems really like the sheep are wearing glasses. During the culinary Lamb weeks from 3th to 12th October 2025 you may taste a variety of dishes made of this special lamb in one of the participating restaurants of Funes.
Prad am Stilfser Joch/Prato allo Stelvio, Vinschgau/Val Venosta
In Prato allo Stelvio, ancient customs and traditions are experienced like in few other places in South Tyrol.
"Zusslrennen" and "Machgertanz" in carnival, the "Goaßlschnölln" group and the famous "Tuifl" devils of St. Nicholas in December are just a few examples of the village's cultural specialities.
The entire variety of living traditions and ancient costumes will be brought closer to visitors during the seventh festival of tradition and taste, to be held on 5 October 2025.
The Tourist Association of Prato, together with the participating associations, invites you to participate in a colourful programme of events as part of the festival.

With the traditional Tramin Wine Lane, the people of Tramin celebrate the golden autumn and its treasures each year. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, visitors from near and far will once again flock to the festively decorated village lane, where all sorts of culinary delights from kitchen and cellar await tasting.
Here’s how it works:
After paying a €5 deposit, you’ll receive a beautiful glass bearing the Tramin coat of arms. With it, you can sample the finest wines from Tramin’s wineries at the various stands. The prices for individual wines are displayed at each stand.
The celebrations of the "Wine Alleyway", in the heart of the historic centre of Termeno which is open only to pedestrians, is an appointment not to be missed: the best Traminer wines will be offered in cups made for this very occasion along with special South Tyrolean delicacies in an atmosphere of music and folklore.
The citizens of Lasa are creative minds and show this with the cabbage men and women as well as the exhibition of autumn decoration and grave decorations. Great autumn offers await you at the Lasa action days.

Keschtnriggl - Chestnut days. The Chestnut Weeks and the Törggelen in Merano and Environs have been a South Tyrolean Tradition for years. Chestnut days in Tesimo/Tisens - Prissiano/Prissian, Foiana/Völlan and Lana gets ist Name from the "Keschtnriggl" - a hand-braided basket for Peeling roast chestnuts.
For three weeks, a colourful Event Programme is put on for visitors: Chestnut walks, torchlight processions from castle to castle and the "Keschtnfestl" feast in Foiana, with Music, farmers market, chestnut delicates and traditional crafts.
The aromatic fruit with ist spiky Shell, grows particularly well in Merano and Environs, and during this green Event has pride of place in the specialities of traditional inns and prestigious Restaurants, as well as in exquisite chestnut products such as sweet chestnut hearts, aromatic chestnut beer, hearty chestnut stollen, tasty chestnut spraed, luxuriant chestnut cake, fluffy chestnut bread, the excellent chestnut panettone as well as the noble chestnut praline.
Every farmer’s wife has her culinary secrets! At the farmer’s kitchen on the Raiffeisenplatz market square, Scena's farmers’ wives offer authentic traditional and tasty specialities.
"Törggelen" is a popular autumn custom for enjoying harvest fruits like chestnuts, apples and grapes. Ham and cheese, young wine and local dishes, all taste so much better when enjoyed in company and good music!
