    On three Wednesday evenings the church square in Welschnofen is once again transformed into a meeting place to enjoy the balmy summer nights. Local bands with people from the Val d'Ega ensure a good mood and good cheer. Various stalls offer local specialities such as Schlutzer, Krapfen, Strauben, Welschnofner beer and much more, inviting you to get to know South Tyrol from its culinary side. A special highlight is always the Schuhplattler (traditional folk dancer), who delight young and old with their "Platteln". The little guests can let off steam to their heart's content at the children's program and do handicrafts with natural materials, sow flowers or transform themselves into lions and butterflies at the children's face painting.     At the 'Bauer am Stein' farm in Foiana 70 goats white goats stretch out towards you, waiting to be stroked. Farmer Karin explains how these lively ruminants are fed, milked and cared for. As true gourmets they prefer to eat fresh grass and leaves, but they also get some tasty snacks made especially for them. After the birth of the first kid, the mother goat gives milk. She is milked twice a day and, unlike cows, has an cows, she has an udder with only two teats. If you want, you can taste the milk, also called 'white gold'. From our expert guide Oswald Tröbinger you will not only learn why the church and the tower were built separately, but also have the opportunity to climb the observation tower: 82 meters high, with more than 300 steps - a real flight of fancy! The tour lasts one hour and is a must for every visitor. The tour is only in Italian. However, you can still take part to see the tower from inside.

    A gourmet menu with a panoramic view! The Berglertafel mountaineers’ dinner is a five-course menu of typical dishes from Tiers served in a stunning setting. The venue is Proa, a mountain pasture with a view of the Rosengarten. There is arguably no other vantage point in Tiers am Rosengarten from where you can see the famous alpenglow of King Laurin’s famous kingdom ... and all this while enjoying a fabulous gourmet menu. The table is more than a 100 metre long and can seat 170 gourmets who – in the form of a row – can enjoy a fabulous meal and, at the same time, this unique view of the Rosengarten.
