The Talschlusshütte in Gsiesertal Valley – St. Magdalena offers a welcoming setting for a relaxing break. South Tyrolean specialities as well as Italian and international dishes are served on the spacious sun terrace or in the traditional alpine dining room. Located in a quiet spot at the head of the valley, it is a popular place to stop and enjoy after walks and excursions in the surrounding mountain landscape.
Ristorante Porcino is a fine dining restaurant nestled in the Badia Hill Hotel, named after the prized porcini mushroom – the “gold of the Dolomites.” Led by Chef Marco Verginer and sommelier Michaela Mair, it offers a creative tasting menu that blends Alpine flavors with Mediterranean finesse. The refined interior and panoramic mountain views create an unforgettable setting. Dinner is served exclusively through two seasonal tasting menus, available by reservation only.
In November 2025, the restaurant Porcino was awarded its first Michelin star, in recognition of the excellence of its cuisine.
At the Proseccheria, the stylish outdoor bar of the Ristorante Monte Elmo in the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort, you’ll enjoy laid-back DJ vibes, tasty bites, refreshing drinks and exceptional dishes. Our proven team is still from Chef Jörg Trafoier and sommelier Sonya. Since the spring of 2013, is son Kevin Trafoier in the kitchen next to the stove and Jörg has his own style complements the creative dishes of our house and further developed.
For some time, daughter Natalie Trafoier is now fully entered the family business. As a trained pastry chef and Patissière can expand our extensive range in our Bistrot perfect.

We attach great importance to a light and healthy kitchen. Regional products such as fruit, goat cheese, alpine cheese, milk, game, lamb, turkey and beef are sourced from small farmers in Lüsen. The Lüsnerhof kitchen offers a rich selection even for the most spoiled palate.

From the Bolzano Sud motorway exit, immediately take the direction of Merano (Me-Bo highway),
take the first exit towards Appiano / Caldaro following the "Strada del vino" signs.
after approx. 100 mt., At the intersection, turn left towards Bolzano / Frangarto
at the first roundabout go right towards Cornaiano.
After approx. 3 km you will find on the left the indication of the hotel "Hotel Girlanerhof".
Right along the Maiser Waalweg hiking path you’ll find the Rast am Waal – a rustic little inn run by Hubert and Annelies. Here you can enjoy genuine South Tyrolean hospitality, a cozy stopover and, above all, a delicious traditional Brettlmarende. The perfect place to take a break after hiking and soak in the views.
