An atmospheric winter evening: during a torch-lit walk through the historic old town of Vipiteno, Italy’s northernmost city reveals its most romantic side. Guided by the flickering light of torches, an experienced guide leads the way through narrow alleys, past impressive buildings and historic squares – places that take on a magical charm in the soft glow. Fascinating stories and old legends bring the town’s rich past to life, making this walk a truly special experience. To round off the evening, a cozy stop awaits: warm up with a cup of tea or a hot mulled wine and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in good company. The starting point is the Popena bridge on the access road to Lake Misurina. The trail first follows the Rio Popena gently uphill. Already during the ascent, you can admire the majestic Dolomite peaks – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – in all their glory. Further up, the valley opens up, offering stunning views of the Cristallino di Misurina and Monte Popena. At around 2000 m, the forest begins to thin out and the terrain becomes more open. The route continues to the Sella di Popena, where you enjoy a magnificent panorama of the entire valley and Lake Misurina. In good conditions, you can extend the tour to the Corno d’Angolo. Fragrant flowers and medicinal plants are organically grown in our ‘Wipptal herb gardens’ in Pflersch and Wiesen, and wild-harvested in the mountains. What exactly is sustainable winegrowing? During a guided tour through the small vineyard, you learn about the ecology of vineyards. You gain an insight into how wine is produced sustainably, from planting and managing the vineyard to processing the grapes and reaching the final quality of the wine. The guided tour finishes with a wine tasting of Messnerhof wines. Duration: about 1.5 hours. Minimum number of participants: 6.

The Perlhof is a small winery run by Max Thurner and his family. It is located in Oberleitach in the St.-Magdalen region. With a lot of manual work and great passion, the grapes are gently processed and wines full of character are produced.

The authentic wine experience for all senses takes place in the newly created wing of the Cantina Kurtatsch. During the visit, you will gain fascinating insights into the importance of terroir, the variety of Kurtatsch’s vineyard sites, and its unique wines. The educational TERROIR Experience will lead you into the new dolomite barrique cellar with its natural rock wall and conclude with a tasting of 5 wines from our TERROIR line. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 18 people. Please note that dogs are welcome in our wine shop and on the terrace, but for hygiene reasons they cannot take part in the guided tours. Südtirols Süden Card: If you are in possession of the “Südtirols Süden Card”, please indicate this in the appropriate field when booking. The discount will then be applied automatically. The hike begins on the picturesque Plätzwiese plateau – a wide alpine terrace with stunning mountain views in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
