The VINO MIGLIA is being organised for the 15th time. 67 classic cars built between 1929 and 1985 will travel with the “ship of dreams on wheels” over 1,100 km and 3 countries (D/A/I) in the centre of Europe. The arrival on Thermenplatz is scheduled for Wednesday 25 June at 3.30 pm. On Friday, 27 June, there will be a short final lap of 65 km from Merano via Hafling, Vöran, Burgstall and back to Thermenplatz. The vehicles will arrive at Thermenplatz at around 1.30 pm. In the evening, the final banquet and award ceremony will take place at the Kurhaus in Merano.

From 1 April to the end of June, the Museum of Nature is showing macro photographs of insects by South Tyrolean photographer Ulrike Mitterstieler. Ulrike Mitterstieler, born in Bolzano in 1965 and raised in Fiè allo Sciliar, only discovered her passion for photography late in life. Her enthusiasm for insects, which has accompanied her since childhood, is combined with macro photography in order to visualise the hidden beauty and complexity of these small creatures. Her work enables viewers to recognise details that often remain hidden to the naked eye. The photographer was selected as part of the South Tyrol Nature Museum's Open Call, in which local artists were invited to submit works with a South Tyrolean connection. The aim of the project is to utilise the transitional area between the first and second floors of the museum with changing exhibitions and thus offer regional talent a platform. The current exhibition builds on the success of the previous presentation ‘Kontakt’ by Christian Passeri, which can be seen from January up to and including Sunday 30 March 2025. The exhibition invites visitors to experience the world of insects from a new perspective and discover the often overlooked beauty of these animals. The tour begins with a visit to the farm, an authentic place where history and tradition come to life. Guests will then experience the art of cheesemaking in an award-winning dairy, observing the different stages of production and exploring the facilities where this exceptional product is crafted. The experience ends with a delicious tasting of handcrafted cheeses, offering a true taste of the mountains. A must-do for those who appreciate tradition and authentic flavors! The Archeopark Villanders is a fascinating archaeological site located at Plunacker, where remains from the Stone Age, Copper Age, Bronze Age, and Roman period have been discovered. Particularly impressive are the prehistoric settlement traces and burial sites, which show that people lived here over 7,000 years ago. The earliest settlement traces are illustrated through the reconstruction of typical buildings and their furnishings from each respective era. The new structures represent a Mesolithic dwelling, a Neolithic hut, and a Rhaetian house.
