We will meet up in the centre of Spinges and start our hike to the Opera 24 bunker. On our way there, we will have the chance to learn intriguing details about the builder of the Holy Sepulchre Chapel (1685) and the historical and artistic heritage of the local parish church and its small museum. We will also find out about the way of life in an 18th century farmer’s parlour, and why 400 people were burnt alive in a local farmhouse. The highest point of our hike is a bunker in Mussolini’s Alpine Wall, where we will learn about its history before enjoying a picnic on site or stopping over at a farmer’s inn in Spinges. In the event of adverse weather, we will skip the hike. You will still have the opportunity to reach the bunker by car and enjoy a stopover at a farmer’s inn in Spinges after our bunker tour.

From the Schermoos car park, we follow the European Long Distance Trail to the Möltner Joch. Follow a hiking trail through sparse larch forest to the Möltner Kaser Alm. Here we follow a path to the famous Stoanerne Mandln hilltop, with an impressive view of the Dolomites. This mystical cult site is marked by dozens of man-sized stone men. Return to the Möltner Kaser and then via the Jenesier Jöchl back to the starting point. Walking time: approx. 5 hours Altitude difference: 700 m

First we walk from the aquaprad Visitor Centre to the Suldenbach bridge and then along the river to the Prad sports zone. Here the Suldenbach river is released from its narrow corset into a unique river delta with many side arms. This is one of the last important habitats of Myricaria germanica in South Tyrol. Alnus glutinosa can also be found here. The Prader Sand is also an important resting place for migratory birds and a breeding ground for the Common Kingfisher and the Little Ringed Plover. A considerable part of the Prader Sand comprises dry, hot sand and gravel areas that are gradually becoming scrubland. Amongst others, the Nightingale breeds here and its marvellous song can mainly be heard in the morning and evening. Striking plants in this extreme habitat are Oxytropis pilosa, Oxytropis xerophila or Orchis militaris, which blooms as early as May. This very rare orchid species can also be found in the so-called "Kultur", a deciduous and pine forest that was planted in the 1880s and 1960s as a windbreak for the cultivated agricultural land. We walk back to the village of Prad through this forest, which is characterised by a branched irrigation system with irrigation channels. At lunchtime there is the opportunity to stop off at the restaurant close to the fishing ponds. The new special exhibition at the Museum Ladin is titled “Countdown to Mass Extinction?”. It focuses on the End Permian Mass Extinction that occurred 252 million years ago and the current climate change. Free entry. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

"Renasciüda" means rebirth in our Ladin mother tongue, and so on this day we celebrate the rebirth of the forest. During this event, everyone can contribute to restoring the terrible consequences of storm Vaia, which devastated an entire wooded area in 2018. On 16 June, we will plant 1,000 trees together to restore the forest. We need your help! What time would you like to participate? Take a look at the 4 time slots below and choose the one that suits you best! The available time slots are: - from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m, - from 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m, - from 1.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m, - from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. We have organised a guided hike before each time slot starting from the tourist office in Corvara, allowing participants to walk together to the event location (approx. 40 minutes). For those who prefer to spend the day in a more relaxed way, we offer a shuttle service from the tourist office in Corvara (approx. 10 minutes). If you prefer to come independently, we are waiting for you directly in the WowNature area - Planac area near the Campolongo Pass (please note that car parking spaces are limited, we recommend using the shuttle or the guided hike). -- Ancunté i alpaca -- This easy circular hike reaches first the Tervela waterfall at the foot of Monte Pana. After a short refreshment, the hike continues following a path until you arrive to the clearing Plan dala Sia. The Demetz family has been breeding 40 alpacas, known for their high-quality wool products, since the year 2000. At the beginning of the “Triech” ascent, you can spot a second, hidden waterfall. From Lake Durnholzer See in the Sarntal Valley, we first walk along the lake on the tarmac road. At the Fischerwirt inn, we leave the lake circuit and follow the road and hiking trail in the direction of the Seebalm (bar). Here we can enjoy the solitude and the surrounding mountains. Have you ever seen the inside of a power station? Did you know how water becomes electricity? In South Tyrol, the Passeiertal Valley and especially the Hinterpasseier Valley is one of the valleys with the most water. For this reason, more than 22 power stations for sustainable energy production have been built in the Hinterpasseier Valley for about a century. One of the oldest is the power station in Rabenstein, which you can visit and explore. The guided tour offers unique insights into the power station and shows how water converted into electricity.

Arrival by bus to St.Peter - Villnöss. Here we follow the marker no. 30 on the right and the indication St. Jakob and hike on the narrow asphalt road with the Stations of the Cross slightly ascending to the little church St. Jakob (1,280 m). We continue to follow the road through meadows and woods and reach the Jochhöfe, already mentioned in 1238, which form a small hamlet. One of them is the Jausenstation Moar (1,320 m), where we treat ourselves to a short rest. On the road below the Moar (no. 12) we hike down to the Zinnerhof, on the upper dirt road westward over to the forest and on the marked trail through steep forest down to the wide trail no. 11, on which we reach Teis (962 m) In Teis we visit the mineral museum. The Radlsee refuge is located high above the Eisack Valley on the legendary Radlsee lake in the basin between the Königangerspitze and Hundskopf peaks. On the way, we learn a lot about alpine herbs, mountain farming and the formation of the Alps and Dolomites. The moderately difficult hike is worthwhile with its breathtaking mountain panorama and relaxing tranquillity on the mountain.
