The Restaurant-Pizzeria Babsi in Soprabolzano has been for about 27 years an important meeting place for both locals and visitors.
Traditional South Tyrolean dishes such as ravioli with spinach and ricotta cheese, dumplings and traditional meat dishes are prepared after the secret and closely guarded cookbook from granny’s days. We recommend a glass of fine wine or a draught beer.
In the afternoon we serve delicious home-made cakes with coffee, cappuccino, tea or freshly squeezed fruit juices in our traditional dining room and on the sunny terrace.
From 5.00 pm, you can also enjoy different Italian pizzas and small, home-made specialties.
Have fun and spend time together every night, when junior chef Philip prepares fresh cocktails and drinks for its guests at the bar.

From the "common" South Tyrolean bacon dumpling with a refined herb garnish from our own garden to the tagliatelle Caprese with fresh basil and South Tyrolean mozzarella, the selection is great and the symbiosis of traditional and Mediterranean cuisine make the Eisack Valley cuisine a must for food lovers. As an accompaniment, junior chef Andreas serves you just the right wine from South Tyrol, Italy, or even wine from abroad.

The heart of the house: Restaurant Terra
Only a few steps from heaven you'll find the highest-located starred restaurant in Italy. Everything you get at Terra - The Magic Place is home-made. The cuisine of gourmet chef Heinrich Schneider is modern and of subtle finesse. The dishes are characterised by products from South Tyrol and farmers from the immediate vicinity. These unique gourmet highlights are matched with the best wines, recommended by the certified sommelier Gisela Schneider, sister of Heinrich.
The reconstruction works in the restaurant, the heart of the house, will be concluded in May 2014.
Now, the restaurant will also have its own name: "Terra".
Especially the most discerning guests can reserve the exclusive "Chefs Table", a table located at the entrance of the kitchen, directly served by the chef and characterized by a special treatment.

The ancient inn:
The Traube is documented as an inn in texts dating from the 17th century. The Niedermair family, who runs the hotel, has owned the ancient building for the last hundred years.
