In our restaurant in Ums/Völs am Schlern we focus on fresh local produce. Almost all the herbs, vegetables and fruit we use come from our own vegetable garden and orchards. We love to spoil you with the delicious food we make: the owner – a keen chef – Florian Harder will prepare the best dishes of the traditional South Tyrol cuisine as well as typical Italian food for you. He passionately adds a personal twist to traditional recipes making tasty dishes that can satisfy any culinary taste. He prepares and decorates his tasty creations with such a love for detail that they will be a pleasure to look at. Anyone who wants to watch him cooking is welcome to step into the kitchen! Our assortment of wines includes those made in South Tyrol as well as top-quality Italian and foreign specialities. We suggest the wine best suited to bring out the flavour of any dish you choose. The ideal start off point for mountain hikes and for more demanding mountain climbing excursions, snow shoe trails and ski tours. Wir bewirten Sie gerne auf unserer großen Panoramaterasse sowie im Garten mit Liegewiese. Es finden im Sommer verschiedene Veranstaltungen statt wie das Brotbacken im urigem Steinbackofen, wo Sie miterleben können wie das Brot entsteht und natürlich gibt es auch Brot zum mit nach Hause nehmen. Zu Mittag gibt es Grillfeiern sowie Fondue auf Vorbestellung.

Set in a quiet and stunning location at the foot of the Natural Park Fanes-Sennes-Braies, our restaurant offers tasty dishes, good home cooking, inspired by traditional recipes. On our sunny panoramic terrace you can enjoy our home made cakes and ice cream.

We offer homemade starters and locally-sourced meat.

The name Mauriz was already mentioned in 1752 in a sales agreement. At that time, the Mauriz was used as a stable of the inn Morizen “Mauriz”, which belonged to the Sanoner family. Josef Anton Sanoner emigrated to France and came back only at the beginning of 1810. He bought the whole estate and called the inn “Adler”. In 1903 Johann Babtist Sanoner enlarged the inn and added walls to the wooden building. In the stable, which had beautiful cross vaults, there were many horses, which were used by the guests for riding tours and for coach tours. In 1985 a part of the wooden scaffolding of the interior construction and the old cross vaults, under which you are sitting now, were saved from demolition. The old wood was used for the interior decoration of the disco “Mauriz”. We have rented the building in 2003 and, with a lot of effort and particular attention to detail, have turned it into the restaurant and pizzeria Maurizkeller.
