Christine Schönweger, farmer and South Tyrol’s only female master distiller, describes the path she has taken from a love of fruit, via the art of distilling, to genuine and authentic indulgence, with a guided tour of the Gaudenz farm distillery in the Gaudententurm Residence plus tasting of the farm's own spirits.

Every Wednesday between 8.30 am to 12.30 am, the pedestrian zone and Peter-Glückh-Platz in Malles/Mals bustle with activity. Fresh local produce, such as fruit, berries and vegetables, cheeses, bacon and bread types, jam, vinegar, juices and herbal teas, are always available for sale at the market. There are also craft and handicraft products made of stone, wood or felt for sale, as well as textiles, leather goods, plants, and equipment of all kinds for house and garden. From June to September, the market is held together with the farmers' market in the pedestrian zone, where producers from the area offer bacon and cheese, fruit and vegetables. The surrounding guesthouses and restaurants offer special dishes to the respective market focus.

Georg Vogel, Andreas Waelti and Michael Prowaznik devote themselves to various forms of jazz and explore the interplay between planned and spontaneous improvisation. Old influences are interpreted in a modern way and combined to create new sounds. Georg Vogel, a well-known Salzburg pianist, has gained international attention with the development of the 31-note instrument “Claviton” and his band “Dsilton”. Andreas Waelti, a sought-after Swiss double bass player, is firmly anchored in the Viennese and Berlin jazz scene. Michael Prowaznik, a versatile Viennese drummer, masters odd time signatures, traditional swing and contemporary jazz. Together, the trio acts as a true ensemble and shows how exciting music is created in the postmodern age.

Lieselotte is actually very sweet, but now she hides to scare the postman. Poor Heiner is already having nightmares! Something has to change, he thinks. He packs a parcel for Lieselotte and lets her deliver the mail. Unfortunately, everything goes wrong – Lieselotte catches a cold. However, the farmer and Heiner take good care of her, and in the end, Lieselotte has two good friends. The Spitzige Lun on the sunny slopes of the Upper Venosta Valley is one of the first mountain summits to be accessible after the winter snows have subsided. This is a great opportunity to combine hiking and biking with a marvellous panoramic view of the Ortler mountain and the Reschensee Lake. Starting from Malles/Mals ride along a wide forest road to the “Seale” at an elevation of 1,000 m. Park your bike and walk for another hour (300 m elevation difference) until you arrive at your destination with a fantastic 360° view. What a great start to the mountain-climbing season! Discover the natural material clay with Katja Battisti. In the Peterbühl area of Völs—an archaeological site where finds from various eras, including the late Bronze Age and early Middle Ages, have been uncovered—you will explore different techniques and experiment with natural pigments from the local area to decorate your clay creations. Each participant will have the chance to craft a flower pot or decorative vase to take home. Additional Info: If desired, Katja can fire your items for you. This process will take about a week. On 8 May, SKB ARTES opens two exhibitions of two positions on the South Tyrolean art scene. Both engaging and different from each other. ALEXANDER WIERER & RASMUS RAMÖ STREITH_PROJECT no, no flowers winner Residence Cité Internationale des Arts Paris 2024, supported by the Fondation Cassa di Risparmio Some encounters are like a reflection - deeply connected, disengaged from space and time. Alexander Wierer and Rasmus Ramö Streith first met in the summer of 2024, in Paris, during their stay at the Cité Internationale des Arts. At that time, the Olympic Games were taking place in Paris, turning the city into an isolated and guarded space. The July heat played its part, further paralysing people and children. Under these circumstances, a friendship was born. Shoe soles, leftover cakes and a cash machine intertwine in the exhibition no, no flowers into a tale. They tell of the traces of the path travelled, the celebrations celebrated and the receipt of a very deep friendship.

guided tour - The National Park visitor centre avimundus in the pediastrian zone of Silandro is entirely devoted to the bird kingdom of the Stelvio National Park. It offers visitors an overview of the world of birds, and selected bird species are clearly presented and assigned to their respective habitats. Visitors are given extensive information about the breeding and rearing, and on bird voices and their songs.
